Irene pushed her hand in her bag to pull her buzzing phone out. 

Ilyan who had returned by then watched her silently battle to take or not take the call. His mind recalled the call that she had avoided when they were going to the hospital. Was there an issue? He pondered.

"Is everything alright?" Standing near her sitting self, he enquired. 

"Yeah, everything is fine," she replied, disconnecting the call for yet another time.

"Ok-aayy," he muttered, clearly not convinced, catching a glimpse of discomfort and irritation in the way she looked at her phone, but he did not push her further, unwilling to intervene when she was not telling on her own. "I am going to get some tea for you! 

"Ilyan, wai-" She sighed when he disappeared without letting her finish. Her eyes fell back at her phone, lingering on the last name in her call log.
