[Margaret's POV]
Today was the second day Donald led the assault team into the Misty Forest.
I woke up early, or, to be more precise, I had not truly closed my eyes all night. Insomnia had taken hold of me during the night spent apart from Donald.
Even though Donald had obtained new information from Elizabeth and explained to me that there was a high chance of success for the mission, I still felt uneasy inside—a very bad premonition lingered in my mind.
And as it turned out, my worries were not unfounded, or rather, the specific people and events I worried about were not quite accurate, but my sense of foreboding for the situation was indeed extremely precise!
When Benjamin informed me that Elliot's injuries had suddenly deteriorated, I was a bit stunned; things had developed into the most complex and urgent situation possible.
