The car crept down the empty road. The only sounds were Clary's chatters, the whispering of trees and the occasional hum of street lights. Clary's sweet babbling filled the silence in the car, and Leandre savoured every moment, slowing the car to prolong their time together. 

Clary peered out the window, taking in the silent cityscape as the car drifted through vacant intersections and entered familiar neighbourhoods.

"Take a right turn at the dead-end road."
