บท 115: The message

The pigeon travelled for few days and reached Hindustan..soon the scroll fell into Pinaka's hand..he read the scroll and immediately went to see Samyukta..he gave her the scroll..she read it..her eyes became red..they were flashing anger and grief.. she looked at Pinaka and said, ' General Rudra Verma desired me..' he looked at her incredulously.. and said, ' what are you talking..he treats us like his children..' she said, ' I too thought the same..he was obsessed with me.. I overheard him while he was conspiring with Zaffar..he wanted to sow the seeds of discord between us ..he even wanted to sell our nation..he seemed eccentric and disloyal..I kept monitoring him from then..he was trying to touch me every time he was close to me.. I even got to know that he was watching us during our private moments..' Pinaka gasped..he said,' what?how?' she said, ' yes.. that night when we were kissing.. I felt a rustling sound outside our room.. I stopped kissing and made an excuse and went out..I saw him going away into the garden..he talked to himself..' how much I desire her.. since her thirteenth year..' he angrily punched the wall and walked away..' this was too shocking for Pinaka..he respected Rudra Verma like a father figure.. Samyukta continued..'How can a man like him desire a thirteen year old child..he was sick.. I could not have him executed here..it would turn his family and his supporters against the crown.. I wanted him to be disposed in the Shah's region .. I gave this order to Shiva..but he could have been overpowered by Rudra Verma..' Pinaka was reeling from the shock..she looked at him and said,'now we can kill him openly..he joined the enemy..!'
