After Ebari departed from the training room that morning, the guilt of what he had just done ate at his conscious all day. There was much work to be done but his mistake wasn't out of his thoughts for long.
Perhaps the best part about not working underneath someone else was that if he didn't feel like doing something, he wouldn't do it. When he felt things were dragging because of his bad mood, he called off the meeting for the day and promised to resume them the next day once he could talk it over with his friend.
With Varya finally sitting in front of him with an expectant look on her face, the words were lost in his throat. She knew him to be the rational one who never lost himself to what he was feeling. Many times she referred to him as an anchor saying he was the reason she felt stable in life.
To lose her belief in him would tear him apart from the inside out and he didn't know how much more disappointment he could handle.
