บท 78: He Doesn't Want Me

April rubbed her wrist and realized once she was locked out that she didn't have a way to contact anyone and couldn't exactly walk home on this ankle. That jerk! The least Jasper could have done was give her crutches or called her a cab.

She sighed and wondered what she was supposed to do until someone popped out of the bushes looking very surprised to see her. "April! What are you doing out here?"

A rather scruffy-looking man she didn't recognize was talking to her. Had he met Brielle when she was in April's body? Or was she experiencing some sort of memory loss? The former seemed more likely.

"Trying to get home but I don't have my purse on me."

"I thought you lived here. You said you were Jasper's girlfriend," the man said suspiciously.

April wanted to scream. His girlfriend?! She would never date that monster! But that would explain how harshly he had treated her when he found out she wasn't Brielle. He had feelings for her after all!
