After finishing exchanging martial arts experiences, Lucian and Akaza sat down to talk.
Naturally, they were talking about developing new moves, and when that topic ended, they began to discuss the attacks they would make on almost all the main organizations in this world.
"Wouldn't it be better to put up more of these 'towers'? I don't see any reason to keep them to just a hundred." Akaza expressed his curiosity. In his opinion, the more of these towers there were, the better.
After all, increasing the range of influence would only bring benefits.
"The reason is as simple as it could be – we lack the resources to keep growing. I used raw BP to create them and unlike blood, it doesn't regenerate as quickly. To make a comparison, BP would be like bone marrow, much harder to regenerate than blood and without it, you can't produce blood. So I've been weakened since that day," Lucian explained.
He hadn't really expected to run out of "blood" to continue his creations, but it also allowed him to realize how much he could still learn about demons and himself.
Muzan hadn't made much of an effort in this matter, apart from the fact that Lucian's soul together with the blue spider lily had greatly changed the demon king's body and those affected by his blood.
"Really? I've never encountered this problem." A contemplative expression appeared on Akaza's face.
"Of course not, you've never created demonic objects and yes, they are different from simply shaping flesh."
Shaping flesh into an object is very simple, just mold it into some shape and detach it from its body, it's not even necessary to follow this order.
A demonic creation or demonic object consists of creating inanimate objects with some supernatural power attached to it and, obviously, this power is not about the ability to manipulate flesh so that the object can extend or change shape.
Whereas a familiar consists of using one's own flesh to create an imitation of a living being that is able to move and perform certain tasks.
"And I'll probably never create them, they're useless to me." Akaza remarked, certain of his opinion.
His combat style, as well as the tasks he usually performs, don't require any kind of object, he simply punches and kicks until everything is solved.
"You say that only because such a concept didn't exist before, so don't be so sure." Lucian smiled strangely, the intention hidden behind that smile was almost imperceptible.
But that slightly evil idea was still there, flashing through his mind – the desire to contradict others, in other words, he would make Akaza create and use demonic objects in the future.
After all, shockwaves are incredibly useful, it would be a shame if there weren't any demonic creations that used them.
"I feel there's something wrong with your words..." Although he didn't know what was going on in Lucian's head, Akaza still felt a shiver run up his spine, his sixth sense telling him that something bad might happen in the future.
"Don't get hung up on the small details." Lucian then started walking, and as he took his third step, it was as if the ground was no longer a solid object and he sank quickly as if he were falling into a liquid.
And indeed he was, his body quickly submerged in the red liquid, but unlike what would normally happen, it seemed that the world spun around, inverting up and down, and the next moment Lucian was standing in another room of the infinite castle.
'Using dimensional blood as an intermediary really is faster than using the infinite castle, presumably because one is created at the moment for the sole purpose of teleportation. While the other is a proton-dimension being used as a bridge...'
However, in comparison, using the infinite castle for teleportation is "safer", as people using this method don't receive side effects from spatial movement because it's displacement between two stable spaces.
On the other hand, dimensional blood leaves space unstable to allow movement.
Considering that teleportation is moving from one point to another without traversing the physical space between them, the infinite castle is a third point off that line.
To move from point A to point D using the infinite castle, the individual in question would leave point A, arrive at point 1c and then go to point D.
Point 1c naturally represents the infinite castle.
When using dimensional blood, it will destabilize space, creating a tunnel that leaves point A to reach point D instantly.
As such, the difference in speed between these methods is due to the presence of another stop on the journey, but the safety of using the castle makes up for this small difference.
'Wait... wasn't I about to do something?' When his train of thought finally ended, Lucian realized that he might have forgotten to do something.
"What are you doing standing there?" Ryoko approached him, asking.
Fortunately, this helped Lucian remember why he had come here, precisely to talk to Ryoko and Hinami.
"I was on my way to meet you, but I stopped to think about something."
"I see, is there a particular reason for your visit?"
"I came to check on you and take some samples of Hinami's body tissues," Lucian replied, as he still needed a large amount of body tissue to continue his research.
Not that his method of "research" was orthodox... but at least it's efficient and this way he won't end up killing Hinami, since the other way to get a kagune chimera would be to devour her.
"Ah, we're fine, the room is comfortable, the food is good... wait a minute, what are you going to harvest?!?" Ryoko had started to talk about the comfort they were having in the infinite castle, until she realized Lucian's words and became exasperated.
"Body tissue. I intend to biopsy her lungs, her brain, her kakuhou and collect bone marrow and blood," he replied simplistically, listing a series of organs from which he intended to take a piece.
"What do you want to take these things for?" Ryoko's confusion grew and a hint of fear appeared on her face when she heard "brain" on the list.
Although a brain biopsy is done safely even on humans, that doesn't mean there are no risks, after all, the brain is a highly sensitive organ.
Even ghouls fear brain damage, as it can be highly fatal for them.
"To try to analyze a little about the difference that exists in those born with kagune chimera." Some might argue that taking samples from the kakuhou would be enough, but you can't forget that every organism is a complex system and one change can affect the whole.
If you have a kagune and kakuhou, you also need a brain and nerves to control it, the means to oxygenate those extra cells, as well as the vehicle to deliver that oxygen and nutrients to the cells.
Of course, there are also the changes to the bones, teeth, jaw, mandible and their muscles so that they can chew their food.
The rest of the digestive tract also needs to be different, so that the acids in the stomach can dissolve what has been consumed and the intestines can absorb the nutrients that reach them.
In addition to the liver and pancreas, which need to release various substances to deal with what is obtained from eating humans.
But these other parts didn't interest Lucian, at least not at the moment, but who knows in the future?
Red child cells are very interesting, being able to cause a global change in an individual's biology.
"Kagune chimera?!" Ryoko's pupils shrank in surprise, a ghoul with more than one type of kagune is a great rarity and now Lucian was saying that Hinami was one of those individuals.
"Oh yeah, I forgot she hasn't shown her kagune yet, but yes, I've seen her kakuhou." In this world, the transparent world is especially useful, considering that it makes almost everything about a ghoul visible to Lucian's eyes.
Location and quantity of kakuhou, how many and how widespread the rc cells are, as well as making it possible to see their activity.
In other words, it shows the type of kagune, how fast regeneration is, and of course, the weak points in the kagune.
If it were in another world, one that uses powers based on energy, the soul or another supernatural power, the usefulness of the transparent world would be greatly diminished.
After all, with the transparent world it's possible to discover the activation of the kagune, but it's not possible to discover the activation of kekkijutsu.
"It's okay, Mom, I'll let you take these samples," Hinami said, showing that she had been there for a long time, just listening to the two of them talk.
She first tried to comfort Ryoko, and then agreed to Lucian's request, curiosity shining in her eyes.
Compared to her mother's hesitation, she was particularly interested in this "research", which made her feel like a scientist from cartoons and TV series.
... Or at least one of the guinea pigs used in the experiments.
But whether it was because of her young age, her heightened senses that made her see the world differently from others or the intense experience in which her mother almost died, she had great confidence in Lucian.
And simply by listening to the sounds coming from his body, she knew he was confident he could do it without causing any problems.
