"Just put that over there," Thalia instructed the two gardeners who carried the large barbecue grill from the storage room near the poolside.

After having a heart-to-heart confession to her friend, she decided that mulling over her problem would not solve anything. But doing nothing was even worse.

Then, she remembered what her mother, Juliet, and stepfather, Eugene, would usually do when she was sad. They would come up with all these ridiculous, impromptu activities to cheer her up. 

"Philip, what about the other things I ask you to produce?" Jules shouted to the butler, who seemed to have reservations about her plans.

But now, he seemed to have a change of heart as he heartily joined the preparation, bringing out the materials they would use with their impromptu small barbecue party.

Damon said that she could do anything she wanted. "Feel at home." That was his exact words when he welcomed her into his house.
