บท 980: Playing with Fire (Part 2)

The two wisps of divine fire that were cut by Nailisi underwent different changes. The one with the core, which was later pierced, grew more than a hundred times its original size.

If it had not been for Nailisi's squeezing it back, it would have grown still. The power of life within that divine fire was incredibly powerful, and it was constantly raging. The divine fire expanded and contracted in a syncopated rhythm, as if it was breathing.

The wisp of divine fire had lost all of its might, leaving only a thin power of life force behind for Nailisi to consume. Most importantly, it was no longer possible for that wisp of divine fire to devour Nailisi's soul after its core was broken. One of the rules that was imbued within that fire did allow it to open up to Nailisi, however.

She was elated and went to swallow the fire with one gulp. The fire raged within her soul in an instant.
