The control assessment machine that was used to assess their level of control looked just like a huge calliper. There were various complicated scales on it. At the starting point, there was a counterweight that could be moved on top of the ruler.
"This assessment will be relatively easier compared to the other examinations. Release your Ability X and try to control the counter weight. Can you all see the scale on it? We will start with decimetres and you will control the counter weight to move 1 decimetre each time. You will pass if you can complete it 10 consecutive times without failure. Obviously, if you wish to have better performance, you could attempt the centimetre grade of 5 centimetres or even 1 centimetre. The same rules of 10 consecutive successes applied, and the smaller the scale, the better your performance."
