Mages formed a special group that showed no devotion to beliefs.

It was not that they had no beliefs. Most mages also had their own beliefs. They often believed in the Master of Mystery, or the God of Spellcasters, or some even believed in the God of Scholars. These three were considered the mainstream gods that the mages believed in.
