"Aren't you going to eat it? If not, I will go ahead and do it", the old drunkard said as he laughed. If the Path-Understanding Fruit had not been used to create the dish, perhaps he would not have given the dish to Ni Yan, as he would have needed the fruit to brew wine.
However, the Five Stripes Path-Understanding Fruit was used by Bu Fang to create a dish, therefore the opportunity was lost to use it to brew wine. When the old drunkard bought this dish that could induce a state to attain a breakthrough, he was definitely doing so to give it to Ni Yan.

A traditional dish from the region of Jiangxi, Poyang Lake. Traditionally, this labor intensive and complicated dish is made from freshwater fish that has been preserved in a vat for one week before being left out to dry outdoors. After it has dried up, the meat is diced into cubes, washed and mixed with sugar, glutinous rice wine, sesame oil and other ingredients. The mixture is then sealed up in a vat for three months after which it can be enjoyed in its raw, cooked, sweetened or spicy form. The finished dish tends to have a yellowish hue, mixed with some red. It gives off a strong alcoholic fragrance and has a tender yet slightly crisp texture that leaves a faint sweetness lingering on the palette.
