Breaking the Fourth Wall
Ritika: "Hey, so, how do I say this... ahhh, so embarrassing. Oh gosh. How do you guys do it?!"
Shyam: "Don't worry, just spit it out! Just do what you do to get confident in the main story!"
Raitha: "Yeah! I was scared and unconfident like you too, but you've got this. It's not like you to be nervous, though."
Ritika: "Ouf. Okay, I'll try... So... Hello, I am Ritika, another new character, and I will be ahhh, sa—sha—sharing my story with... with... with... Aaaah! I can't do this. You guys handle it from here!"
Shyam: sighs "She has a lot of practice to do, huh? Anyway, yeah guys, meet Ritika! She's our new character and currently debating whether she should be a main character or a side character. But honestly, I think she's got what it takes to be a main character, right? She's relatable, smart, and definitely interesting."
Raitha: "True, but whether she's main or side, it all depends on Noobie, doesn't it?"
Author (popping in unexpectedly): "Did someone call me? What's Ritika doing in the corner? Wasn't she supposed to be with you guys for the introduction?"
Raitha: "We tried, but for some reason, she's too shy right now. But wait, what are you doing here? Weren't you supposed to be working on your real-life relationship experience?"
Author: pauses and looks away sheepishly "I... I tried. But I failed to gather the courage to tell her how I feel. After spending an entire year following her, I didn't even know her face, name, where she lives—nothing. And still... I fell for her. But in the end, I couldn't express my feelings to the girl I loved."
Raitha: "Wait, hold on. Are you saying... you fell for someone without ever meeting them?"
Author: nervously "Yeah... she's a VTuber. I guess I should say 'loved' in the past tense now. It's over. But hey, that's not important right now! What's important is that I'm here, fully committed to shaping up the relationships in this story. I'll make sure your arcs are amazing, trust me!"
Shyam: snickers "Wow, you're hopeless in real life but a love expert in here? That's kinda ironic, don't you think?"
Author: "Hey, cut me some slack! Fiction is easier than reality! Anyway, let's focus. Ritika, don't worry. We'll give you a great arc that lets your confidence shine through. And to the readers: stay tuned! There's so much more to come."
Ritika (mumbling from the corner): "...I'll try harder next time."
Raitha: "She's already improving. This could be fun!"
Shyam: "Yeah, as long as Noobie doesn't drag his real-life drama into the story too much!"
Author: sighs dramatically "I heard that."
And so, the introduction of Ritika ended with a lot of promise, a touch of humor, and the lingering hope that both the characters and the author would find their confidence along the way.
