Seems like we won't be able to talk much during this period, right?!"
Shyam:
"Unfortunately, yeah. But hey, I hope you all bring in good marks—if you even want to pass, LOL.
Anyway, we've worked hard this whole month, so fingers crossed we pass!"
Ritika:
"Sure. I mean, at least I tried studying this time.
I don't think I've studied this much before—guess that's what happens when you're not alone anymore. Haha."

Raitha's POV
The morning after their conversation, Raitha dragged herself out of bed, her mind still groggy from sleep.
"Oof, man," she muttered, shuffling toward the bathroom.
Although she looked awake on the outside, a battle raged within her against the lingering remnants of sleep. But as soon as she began brushing her teeth, the haze cleared, and her determination resurfaced.
After breakfast, she gave her books one last glance. The past month of intense studying had been exhausting, but today, she chose rest.
Raitha knew her mind needed to be calm and sharp for the battle ahead—the exams.
She whispered to herself,
"I can't fail... I just can't. If I don't catch up now, I'll fall even further behind Shyam. And one day, it might be too late to fix anything."
Her resolve burned brighter.

Ritika's POV
After chatting with her two and only friends, Ritika turned off her phone and left the bathroom, her morning routine now complete.
She casually scrolled through social media while eating breakfast, indulging in random videos and memes. Once done, she sat down at her computer, as she always did when school was closed.
No thoughts of studying crossed her mind. There was no tension, no urgency.
The entire day passed in a blur of meaningless tasks, with Ritika spending hours in front of the computer screen, doing nothing productive at all.

Shyam's POV
After finishing his conversation about the exam, Shyam closed the chat app and opened his anime streaming app.
An hour into his binge-watching session, his elder sister, Raghi, called him for breakfast. Even at the dining table, Shyam's attention stayed glued to his phone, completely absorbed in the anime's "legendary moment."
The rest of his day followed the same pattern: eat, watch anime, repeat.

The Final Thoughts
By the end of the day, it was clear who was the most dedicated. Raitha, the only one who took the exam seriously, had prepared herself mentally and physically.
Ritika and Shyam, on the other hand, appeared carefree and restless on the surface. Yet, deep down, both were undoubtedly anxious about what tomorrow would bring.
After all, no matter how relaxed they seemed, everyone feels the weight of an exam when the time comes.
