บท 3: Goodbye old, and welcome new

"Rage blinds the heart, but regret carves scars that never fade."

Blood splatter, the wind gust too strong, rain start pouring, growling, screaming and cries echoes at the whole subdivision.

*Huff huff huff* a strong breathing can be heard behind a car, a limbs was shaking because of fear.

"AAARRGH!!!", a huge scream echoes too at the whole place, it was full of rage, anger, and devastation. Tei who witnesses his dear wife's sudden death, he goes in rampage beating all the bandits that attacking him. He grabbed their head, breaking their skull with just one grip, smashing their body at each other, breaking their bones everywhere. Rage blinds him, causing him to commit a grave sins.

"I will gonna kill you!!! All of you!!", he scream out, the bandits who can still stand up, pick up their guns and start shooting the old man.

Fionna, kneeling at the ground, crying nonstop was now witnessing the bravely and rage of his father, Tei continue walking towards their leader, while getting showered by bullets, he ignores the pain and the blood drippings on his body, he just continue walking like a iron golem, tanking every attack from the bandits,

"All of your actions, has every consequences...pay for you sins, you murderers!!", the bandits flinches at what the old man said, they can't move because of fear, they seeing the old man as a demon, emerging in the darkness, and ready to take some soul out of their bodies.

Suddenly, the leader of the bandits appears infront of Tei and stabs him with a metal rod at his chest, "Die fricking old man!! You're too old to love anymore...just DIE!!!" Vins snapped back, and quickly look back where Tei is, and this makes his eyes widened and tears, Fionna's eyes was now full of devastation and frustration because earlier her mother died infront of her, amd now...her beloved father is slowly getting killed infront of her too.

"Father!!!!!!! No!!!", she scream out and cries very hard, attracting more infecteds in the area,

"...no...no..father..*sobs*..no..not you too..why you all leaving me so early...father..mother..*sobs*...its so unfair..*sobs*", she cries in the ground, while gripping her head too tight, "...you all unfair...everyone of you...you all UNFAIR!!", Vins hears it and even Tei who's slowly bleeding so much at the chest.

He smiles and close his eyes, the leader of the bandits was confused and smirk at the old man, "What the hell is your smiling at!? You're gonna fricking die! So why!!??", he said when suddenly the old man grabbed his head, and look behind him, he glares where Vins is hiding,

"...kid...its time..do what you promise..", Vins got shock on his spine, flow all over his body. He shook his head because he can't do it since its his fault why Aissa died in the first place, he look back and cover his face out of fear.

"...its okay...please kid, take my daughter...and get out of here..", Tei said with a warm smile on his face. Vins was keep shaking, but he promise to the old man that he will do everything to protect his daughter. Even he doesn't want to do it, he slowly get up and run towards where Fionna and Chloe is kneeling.

'I don't like this...no...stop Vins, i don't like this! You are the cause why that old woman died! Then sooner, if you took care of that two girl, you'll end up killing them too....so stop! Stop saving othe—', he was mumbling when suddenly, he hears another word from Tei,

"...i entrusting my daughter to you...you'll become her hero...", Vins eyes got more tears, he rush more faster towards the two girl.

The bandits saw Vins and they try to shoot him, but before that happens Tei smash the leader's head at the ground, and he rush towards those remaining bandits, pulling out the metal rod out of his chest, causing him to cough blood. He gripped to it tightly, and then swing the metal rod so hard, causing all the remaining bandits to get hit by it and flew away at the ground.

"I will buy you some time!!! Take them and get the hell out of this place!!!! NOW!!", the old man said while stopping all the bandits from shooting Vins and the two girls. Tei grabbed their feet, slamming them at the car, grabbing their head and bashing it at the wall. The leader jumps behind him, and start stabbing the old man in the back,

"Just die!!! Die old man!!!", he said while keep stabbing the old man's back.

Vins bend down a little, and grabbed the two on the waist, as he start running away from the place, he close his eyes, tears are flowing down to his cheeks, his heart was in pain because of the heavy loss they got. Fionna snapped back, and look at where her father is,

"No...no...NO!! Get off me you pervert!! Take me down now!! Father need some assistance there!! Take off your hands on me!!", she said while trying to push away Vins, and get down, but Vins didn't listen to her and continue running while wrapping his arm on their waist tightly. Chloe on the other side was just crying nonstop, Fionna keeps on struggling and crying,

"Please get off me...my father needs help! He will die!", suddenly the three of them got startled when Tei scream out,

"LIVE!!! MY DAUGHTER!! LIVE FOR BOTH OF US!! DON'T LOOK BACK!! CONTINUE GOING FORWARD!! WE LOVE YOU!! FIONNA!!", Tei smiles at them with full of love, when suddenly a gun shot echoes, the bullet goes through his head, and then a showered of bullets flew towards the old man's body, putting holes in every parts of his body.

Fionna's eyes widened when she witnesses how they tortured her father's body, her eyes turn lifeless, tears continue flowing, her voice can't come out, as like something was blocking it. Vins didn't look back and continue running away from them, blood splatter around Tei, loud gunshots echoes, growling infecteds are keeps on echoing too, like their so close to them.

Once they got in the gate of the subdivision, Vins brought down the two of them, Fionna kneels and sit at the ground, crying so hard. Chloe just holding Vins clothes, she was in fear.

"...stand up...w-we need to get out of here...as fast as we can..", he said but suddenly,

"We? There's no we you jerk...coward...its your fault why my father died, saving your coward ass! And he was expecting you to protect me!? Like i want that jerk! Leave...i'm not gonna come with you two...i just want to die..", she said staring at the ground.

"...don't say that...come on, stand u—", he was cut off when Fionna suddenly yell,

"Shut the hell up and leave me here damnit!!!", Fionna turn her head and staring at Vins with a rage eyes,

"...i hate the hell out of you...since you came in our house...our life got crumbling apart! It was peaceful and good when your not here, when its just the three of us!! Its your fault why they f*cking died!!! Its all on you!!!", Vins just keep silence, until they heard some motorcycle coming towards them,

"..come on, let's go now...they are here, we are friends right? Or maybe a family..even it was a little short time..come on, i can't lea—", he was cut off again,

"Family??? Like we are!! We never become a whole family!! Even its just a short period of time!! Its not because we ate together on one table, it didn't mean that we become a whole family!! We are just strangers eating together like we are f*cking close!!!", Vins look down and Chloe was now scared because the motorcycle is keep coming closer.

"...you are right, we are not family...before...but listen here you idiot, like i would let you get killed here by these freaks! I promise to your father that i will going to protect you, even it cost so many lives!!", he said,

"Then forget the hell of your promises!! I don't care about your promises!! Its yo—", she was cut off,

"Yes!! It is my fault why they died!! But they already know that its coming!! Your father told me that i should promise to him that i will protect you once he was gone!! I did what i promise! I took you first because that's what promise to him, i will take you in safe place, and protect you with my lives on the line!! SO STOP BEING A CRYBABY AND LET'S GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!!", Vins was now in breaking point because he doesn't want to leave Tei in there alone, and he doesn't want Aissa to get killed just because of him.

"..just leave me here alone, i have nothing anymore...both of my parents..they are the reason why i'm still living...i just want to die..", she said while all her tears are now already dried, her eyes was no longer life on it.

The motorcycle was now coming towards them, the leader and his bandits are now chasing them, Vins didn't listen to her, and slowly walking towards the motorcycle bandits.

"Whatever you say...i don't care anymore..even you said you want to die, then do it when i was no longer besides you..but for now—"

The leader smirk at Vins because he got some guts to stand infront of them, "What are you?? A superhero!? I will f*cking kill you all!!", he said while grabbing his knife on his belt.

"—live for me, for both of us...because, even how many times you say that you want to die, I WILL KEEP...KEEP PROTECTING YOU!!!", Vins said with full confidence and determination inside of him.

The leader laughs with his men because of what Vins is yelling about, one of the bandits drove so fast, and was about to hit Vins,but suddenly the bandit's eyes widened when he got grabbed by Vins in the collar, and smack his back at the ground, the motorcycle bump in a tree. He lifted his arm, and start beating the bandit in the face, two more bandits riding a motorcycle was coming towards them. Vins gripped tightly at the bandit's collar, and he throw the body to them, causing the two riders to fell out of their motorcycle.

Vins pull out the magnum he got to Tei, and use it to kill those bandits in motorcycle. Three of them got shot, and fell out of their motorcycle. The leader jump, and land at Vins causing both of them to roll at the ground. The leader was now on top of Vins, and beating his face like a pumpkin, he punches him continuously, but Vins expression didn't change, he was still full of determination and bravely.

"What are you!!?? Trying to copy that old fart!!? HA HA HA!! You both going to die!!!", the leader said, when suddenly Vins grabbed his fist, and slowly getting up. Like in the superhero comics, when the hero is getting beat up by the villains, every hero is always finding a strength to fight back once again, even they have worse injury, they will keep fighting because they have something to protect, to get, and finish that's their fight.

Vins at this moment, was now full of determination or maybe adrenaline. His knuckles suddenly flew at the leader's belly, giving him a heavy blow. The leader fell at the ground, but Vins didn't stop he swing another fist towards the leader, and continue beating him up.

"Please!! Stop!! I surrender now!!! Don't kill me please!!!", the leader said,

"YOU HAVE NO RIGHTS TO BEG!!!!", Vins yelled.
