บท 7: INTERET FRENZY III

Bella Turner, a self-proclaimed superfan of Ethan Jones, the new internet sensation, was scrolling through his Twitter feed, eagerly scanning for any updates. However, as expected, the page was almost completely blank. "Is this really his page?" Bella thought, squinting at the lack of posts.

"According to the internet, (find all) is always accurate. Guess he isn't much of a social media person," Bella mused to herself. She shrugged it off and decided to go back to something she could always rely on. "Well, let me go listen to Shape of You again," she said with a smile, clicking on her new favorite song on YouTube.

As the music began to play, Bella's mind wandered. She had just seen Ethan's video on social media from the night before. It wasn't anything big—just a simple clip of him sitting in his room with nothing but his guitar, singing his heartfelt original song. But Bella couldn't help but notice how effortlessly handsome he was. His blond hair, tousled just the right way, framed his face perfectly. And those blue eyes? They were almost mesmerizing as they stared into the camera while he sang. It was no surprise that the video had gone viral—Ethan wasn't just talented, he was incredibly good-looking, too.

Bella replayed the video over and over again. She could feel it—Ethan had something special. And it wasn't just his voice—it was his whole vibe. The way he carried himself, so effortlessly cool, yet so real and genuine. She could tell from the way he looked straight into the camera, as if speaking directly to her, that he was a star in the making. His presence was undeniable.

This wasn't just a random viral video. Ethan had something different about him. Bella couldn't help but think that this was only the beginning. She knew, deep down, this guy was going to be huge.

Meanwhile, in LA, Ethan stood frozen in his living room, staring at his father's phone. His entire world had shifted in the last hour. He had just seen something that was impossible to wrap his head around—70.5k followers on his Twitter account. Just yesterday, he'd had 11 followers. He was still reeling from the fact that his identity had been exposed, and now, as he looked at the number climbing higher by the second, he couldn't believe his eyes.

"No wonder my phone crashed," Ethan muttered to himself, his mind still racing.

"What's wrong?" his sister, Precious, asked, noticing how frozen he looked.

Ethan didn't even notice as she grabbed his father's phone from his hand, still lost in his shock. Precious, seeing the numbers climb rapidly, let out a loud gasp. "70 thousand followers?!" she screamed, her voice filled with awe.

"Young lady!" their mom, Emily, shouted from across the room.

"Mom! Ethan has 70k followers!" Precious repeated, her voice rising with excitement. She refreshed the page, and her eyes went wide with disbelief. "110k now!" she said, her voice faltering with astonishment.

Ethan's head snapped up when he heard the number. His heart skipped a beat. "What?" he said, barely processing the new figure.

Precious, excited beyond belief, was already holding the phone up to him again, but this time, Ethan was quicker. He reached out and grabbed it from her hands, his fingers trembling. He couldn't let this moment pass without seeing it for himself.

His mind was still trying to make sense of what was happening. Was it real? Was it really his page? His followers were growing exponentially in real-time, and the reality of the situation was hitting him harder than ever.

As Ethan stared at the screen, he knew one thing for sure: his life had changed in ways he couldn't yet understand.

Ethan's heart was pounding as he stared at the screen, scrolling through the growing sea of comments and messages. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. His followers were multiplying with every second. But it wasn't just the number of followers that stunned him—it was the praise.

"Ethan, you're incredible!" one comment read. "Your voice gives me chills every time I hear it. You're the next big thing, no doubt!"

Another comment: "This song is everything. Where can I buy it?"

A third one: "Wow, you're better than some of the artists on the radio right now. Seriously, you should be famous."

Ethan felt his face flush with a mix of disbelief and pride. This was exactly what he had always wanted, wasn't it? To be noticed, to be heard. Yet, at the same time, the overwhelming positivity was almost too much to handle. He had never imagined it would happen like this.

But as his thumb continued to scroll, he noticed something else—a few negative comments mixed in with the praise.

"He's just another wannabe singer. Why is everyone hyping this up?"

"So overhyped. This isn't real talent, just another viral fluke."

Ethan's stomach dropped as he read the words. A couple of haters were inevitable, of course, but reading them stung. He could feel his confidence waver for a moment, but he quickly shook it off. This was just part of it—part of the price of fame. People would always have opinions, no matter what.

"I guess I'll have to get used to this," Ethan muttered to himself, trying to brush off the negativity.

Precious, still hovering over him, noticed the shift in his mood. "Don't let them get to you," she said, her voice sincere. "You're killing it. They're just jealous."

Ethan forced a smile, but inside, he was still processing everything. 110k followers. Praise. Criticism. It was all happening so fast. He couldn't help but feel a little overwhelmed.

His dad, Adam, who had been quietly watching the whole scene unfold, spoke up. "Son, this is a lot to take in," he said, his voice calm but firm. "I think we need to figure out what comes next."

Ethan looked up from the phone, his mind spinning. "What do you mean?" he asked.

"I mean, with all this attention, we need to make some decisions. You can't just keep letting things happen without a plan. It's not like you're just another viral video anymore, Ethan. You're a brand now." Adam paused, looking at his son thoughtfully. "Maybe we should call Bill for advice."

Ethan's eyebrows furrowed. Bill had been a longtime family friend, a successful agent who had helped them in the past. "You think Bill can help with all this?"

Adam nodded. "He's been in the business long enough. He knows what to do with this kind of fame. I think it's time we have a serious talk with him."

Ethan took a deep breath. The idea of involving Bill was tempting. After all, Bill had helped them when they first moved to the city, and his connections were undeniable. But now, Ethan wasn't sure if he was ready for all that the music business entailed. He had always stayed under the radar, avoiding the limelight, but now it seemed impossible to avoid.

"I'll think about it," Ethan said quietly. "But I don't know what to do next."

Adam gave him a reassuring smile. "It's okay. You don't have to have all the answers right now. But we need to start thinking about the future, and Bill's someone who can help guide us."

Ethan nodded, feeling a mix of excitement and fear. He had always dreamed of this moment, but now that it was here, it felt like a whole new world. He wasn't sure if he was ready for the spotlight, but one thing was for sure—he wasn't going to let it slip away.
