I walked back to the kitchen with my shoulders held high. The small little rebellion was enough to keep me going. Immediately I opened the door, I coughed at the sight of Bethany and the head of the mansion staff exchanging saliva, aka kissing. They both pulled away from each other as he quickly walked out of the kitchen. I knew that there was so much that I had missed and it was evident that I didn't know everything. 

"So." I sang out while she blushed in the corner. I had never seen Bethany all flustered before. She looked like a baby caught stealing sweets. "Is he your mate?" I asked as her face turned redder than usual.
