บท 3: Chapter: 3

Coming to the other side of the gate magic, I once again see the grand castle, I called home for a good part of my life. Honestly, we Phenex though not the same as the Phoenix, have greater talent than House Dantalion, in space magic due to which creating magic like a gate is as easy as lighting a flame up.
Well today, not only do I and my husband get to meet our first grandkid, but I also check if what my son and daughter talk about him is true or not. Well, the way I brought him up, I have no doubt he is joking. I can also see a wide grin on my husband's face, as he is excited to meet him, and with the number of gifts he packed, which can make even the Satan house go broke.
It seems that my son found sensed of our arrival, hmm it seems he is keeping up with his training, that's a good thing after all having more real power than political power is better in my opinion, my husband turns to me and nods then creates a gate directly to the office of the lord of the house, he turns to me with his hand reached out and say
"My lady", Fufu, even after all these years we keep our marital life healthy due to the small things we do, I take his hand and walk into the gate together with him.
Once on the other side of the gate, we see a luxurious office, the same office I used while leading the house. I see my son and daughter sitting on the sofa waiting for us, once they see us they get up to greet us, and my son gives a hug to his father my daughter comes to hug me, it's then I see the worry on her face and relief, it seems my grandson has made her lose sleep.
"Hello Mother, it's good to see you", she says and hugs me
"It's good to see you too my dear", I reply and hug her back, I let her go and then hug my son while she greeted my husband, and we all sat down on the sofa. Then started speaking on some light topics like how the house is, devil politics, etc, but everyone knew what the main topic for the day was.
"Well, dragging this any longer will do no good, so let's just start", my son says while his wife nods with a serious face.
A Moments Later
Well hearing everything certainly is shocking, well their worry was well founded I guess, after all, no matter what peace treaty or not one like this will start an uproar, hell even my husband who is considered a prodigy and a menace to fight on the battlefield, was heavily targeted by the other factions, and that's not considering the devils themselves, keeping this a secret was indeed right. Even my husband a happy-to-go person, has a rare serious face, one not even present while fighting god's angels.
"So, I'll be beginning his etiquette lesson first and when he is ready for his combat classes, Zep will start, yes?", I ask
"Hmm, if he exceeds even my expectations, then I'll take him to a person who can guide him properly", my husband says, who this person is I have a guess but not sure, my daughter on the other hand
"No, Father we can't have anyone else know of how deep his talents lay, even if this person is trusted, how sure can we be they won't turn on us later?", my daughter expressed, well to a certain extent even I agree with her
"You do not have to worry about that, the person I'm talking about is a person I can trust with my life and just so it happens, I'm owed a debt, and is the best when it comes to training"
While I can see reluctance on her face, for now, the topic is closed, I see it is a quarter to eleven and ask, "Now where is my grandson?", I ask with a bit of excitement after all can it's going to be the first time I'm seeing him after his birth, even my husband came out of his serious face and now sports a wide smile.
"He is in the library Mother, he started to read about the house history after finishing all of the storybooks in there", my son replies, hmm quite the studious one it seems
"Then let's go and watch him till eleven, shall we?", I say
"Hm, but why let's go and just meet him already", my husband whines, honestly one won't expect this from either an age-old lord or a person of his prowess.
"No, I want to watch him first, plus we were supposed to come at half past eleven, and we are devils with more than 10k life span, missing 15 minutes won't do anything", I put my foot down and told him.
He agrees knowing I won't change my mind, and then we all start our journey to the library, once we reach there, we see him, my grandson, reading a book on our clan history.
"Hmm, he's in the zone, how fascinating did either of you know of this", my husband says and they both nod
"We first found out when he was about to finish the last quarter of the story books when asked he just said that he's always been able to do it", my daughter replies
While the zone isn't something grand, it is something that requires quite a bit of training and dedication to achieve, where even the most talented devils achieve in the latter half of their 20s and in rare cases in their first half, my husband himself achieved it when he was 23, my son, when he was 25, never in any supernatural race has anyone achieved it before the age of 2 itself. Once again, my husband returns to his serious face for a while, turns to me and says,
"You were right", of course, I am, after all, I am the one with the brains, but I don't say that and just nod, we continue to observe him till the clock hits eleven. Right then he gets up and gets ready to leave the library.
Looking at the others I nod and leave, coming behind him and saying
"Why aren't you a studious one?", he turns in shock.

"Lady Phenex, Good morning", I say lowering my head a bit after all it is the first time I'm meeting her
"Now none of that lady stuff, dear you shall call me grandmother and when you are more comfortable grandma now, I'm sure your mother already told you that I'm going to teach you etiquette, so first you shall test", she says and brings out some items from her subspace.
"Yes grandmother, and yes mother did inform me that you would be the one to teach me", I reply, she nods and starts a series of tests from general knowledge to history etc.
By the time all tests, were done it was already half past two, and that was when I heard, and sometime during the test, Albedo had left to continue her training.
"You truly are talented aren't you", looking to the side, I see a person older but similar to my father. But before I could say anything he continuously,
"Now none of that lord shit, ok? And since you're a smart lad let me tell you this, something not in any books but learned through experience, what you were doing while reading the book or while doing the test your grandma gave was going into the zone, where all cognitive, body response etc all go beyond the 100% mark, while it's not rare at all, it is only found in people above 30 even the rarest of rare talents could do it in their early 20s, never before the age of 2, no matter which supernatural race you belonged to", he says, slowly I get what the core thing grandfather is trying to tell me.
"You do not have to worry, Drake, after all, it is our duty as your parents to protect you, and while I don't wish for you to lose your childhood, you must be ready plus who is to say we can't enjoy it even with all of this, hm", I turn to see my mom and dad, I slowly nod to my mother, as she comes towards me and hugs me and places me on her lap while patting my head.
While Dad goes and sees my test results, my grandparents smile warmly seeing this, "Why these are wonder full scores, keep going like this my boy, you will be better than your old man in no time", Dad says
"Well, he is doing better than what you did while you were his age, son and now why don't we go have lunch and spend the rest of the day getting to know, Drake better and he can get to know his grandparents as well, hm", grandmother says, I nod and tell a soft ok, while my parents and grandparents smile warmly.
The Next Day
After breakfast, Dad went to do his lordly duties, while Grandfather, Grandmother, mum and I sat in a room, meant for my etiquette lessons.
"Well, Drake after the test yesterday I was able to understand where you currently are and what to improve upon with that in mind, I created a plan for you
6:00, wake up time
6:30-7:30, light exercise with grandpa
7:30-8:00, freshen up
8:00-8:30, breakfast
8:30-12:30, studies with grandma and mum
12:30-1:00, lunch
1:00-2:00, break
2:00-3:00, dining and tea etiquette with grandma
3:00-4:30, studies with grandpa and dad
4:30-6:00, light exercise with grandpa
6:00-8:00, free time
8:00-9:00, dinner
9:00-10:00, free time
10:00, sleeping time
While this is not an ordinary devil heir, who wants to be a regular everyday person, so drake you up for this?"
My mother says, "Drake, if it is too much, just tell us. There is no pressure that you must follow this, OK?"
"It's fine mum, I want to do this but what if I finish my etiquette lessons earlier then can I earn other things?", I ask
"Hahaha, well aren't you an energetic little one, I like it hahaha, and yes if you do finish and get all our consent your other studies will start", my grandfather replies, with amusement in his eyes
And like that, my lessons started, I had no idea just what to expect
