Mystic Code Deployment: Bonus Chapters ✨

The set looked like it had just finished shooting one commercial, and they were setting up for the next scene.
After a quick glance in their direction, he averted his gaze and headed over to meet with sumimi's manager.
Part of his photo shoot involved capturing some behind-the-scenes shots of sumimi during their breaks, so he needed to go over a few things and coordinate the plan.
Though it sounded complex, his role was simply to take some photos and videos of sumimi during their downtime and post them on his account to help with promotions.
Naturally, he'd sprinkle in some compliments about sumimi being incredibly kind and gracious.
Ultimately, it would be a branded post with subtle advertising.
As an added bonus, he'd also receive signed photos of sumimi as part of his payment.

Meanwhile, Misumi Uika was fully engrossed in a chat thread on her phone.
It was her conversation with Togawa Sakiko from a year ago.
In that thread, she'd told Sakiko about her plans to debut.
Sakiko had cheered her on, offering words of encouragement.
Even though Uika had re-read their conversation countless times over the past year, it still gave her strength whenever she looked back at it.
A small smile crept onto her face as she reread the messages.
"Uika-chan, what's got you so happy? What're you looking at?"
Her teammate Mana, or more precisely, Sumida Mana, leaned in with curiosity.
"Just something nice that came to mind," Uika replied with a gentle laugh, locking her screen.
Mana sighed. "Here I thought you'd found some funny news or something. I'm so bored right now."
Uika considered the schedule and offered, "We'll have things to do soon; someone's coming by to take some photos of us."
"Alright." Mana nodded, then shifted to a new topic, "By the way, the donuts here are amazing. Once we finish, I'm definitely going to grab a few more."
"You really do love donuts." Uika chuckled. "But if you eat too many, the manager will have a word with you."
"Want me to grab some for you too? We can sneak out with two each," Mana held up two fingers. "If we're careful, the manager won't even notice."
"Sounds good."
Uika nodded with a smile.

After confirming everything with the manager, Kamigawa followed her over to where Misumi Uika and Sumida Mana were seated.
"This is Kamigawa Saku, the Instagrammer who'll be taking photos for us today. Please do your best to help him out."
With a brief introduction, the manager hurried off to handle other tasks.
"Hello, I look forward to working with you today."
Kamigawa greeted them politely.
"Huh?"
Uika looked up at him, instantly recognizing the face in front of her.
It was the same guy she'd run into at the planetarium.
Back then, he'd offered her some help, and there had been an accidental moment of closeness that left an impression—especially with his looks. Forgetting him was impossible.
But if she recognized him, then he would definitely recognize her too, right?
After all, she hadn't been wearing sunglasses that day.
After a moment of surprise, Uika maintained her smile and replied, "Nice to meet you, I'm Uika from sumimi."
"I'm Mana from sumimi. Pleased to meet you as well." Sumida Mana followed up with her own introduction.
"Actually, there's no need for introductions. I'm already a fan of sumimi."
Once again, Kamigawa slipped into the role of "fan."
Specifically, a fan of Misumi Uika.
It was worth noting that during the introductions, Mana didn't trigger any system prompts.
Which meant she wasn't a route character recognized by the system.
"A real fan, huh? You better not be lying to us, or we'd be so heartbroken!" Mana teased, though she seemed a bit skeptical.
"Of course not! I've listened to all of your songs. My favorite is Here, the World!"
In truth, he'd only decided to become a fan after learning that Uika was a route character.
"Wow, that's amazing! I'm so happy to meet a real fan." Mana was easily convinced, her face lighting up in excitement.
"…"
Uika, however, couldn't help but feel a bit exasperated at how easily Mana bought his words. She was just about to say something when her eyes met Kamigawa's.
He simply nodded slightly in acknowledgment.
Through that subtle exchange, Uika understood that he remembered her as well.
With that confirmed, another question arose in her mind: why hadn't he reacted with any surprise or excitement when he saw her at the planetarium?
Was it because his girlfriend was with him?
Uika's thoughts drifted to the short-haired girl who'd been lying beside him that day.
She'd been quite pretty, and they'd seemed well-matched.
Or… was it possible he wasn't actually a fan of sumimi?
Maybe he'd just brushed up on their songs after learning about today's gig and was now pretending to be a fan?
But whatever the reason, it didn't really matter. She'd treat him as a fan either way.
That was just part of her job as an idol.
With limited time before the next shoot, Kamigawa didn't waste any more of it. After a polite greeting, he picked up his camera and got to work.
The two of them were natural pros when it came to posing.
Shooting them was a breeze.
Once he'd taken enough photos, Kamigawa thanked them and went to check in with sumimi's manager.
Since these photos were for social media, they needed to go through the team for approval.
After confirming that the photos were good to go, he'd completed this part of the job.
With no further reason to linger, he prepared to leave.
Just as he was about to go, Uika approached him with three photos in hand.
"You forgot something."
"Huh? What's this?"
Kamigawa accepted the photos, realizing they were signed photos of sumimi.
Then he recalled that these had been part of the extra compensation he was promised.
They were just a bonus and wouldn't affect his main payment, so he hadn't paid much attention to them.
But now, he faced a problem—he'd just told them he was a big fan of sumimi.
And here he was, ready to leave without even asking for their autographs.
This wasn't exactly fan behavior…
Had he just exposed himself as a fake fan?
