New York, America
In the cosmic darkness of the night, a satellite with an American flag crosses the Earth, moving at the same speed as the planet's orbit, positioned above the skies of the American continent.
The camera shifts, focusing on the paths across America. It tracks a convoy of vehicles from Mexico heading towards New York, United States.
Among the passengers is a portrait of a blonde girl with straight shoulder-length hair, her mouth taped shut and her hands bound.
A man, observing the trajectory of the convoy from a distance, calculates and predicts the route of the vehicles.
Previously, the New York Police Department had collaborated on a rescue operation for a hostage and had begun investigating a large network connected to Bruno Genovese's crime syndicate.
James G. Renave had a girlfriend named Stacy Spark. They met on Facebook, where they often joked and had fun, building a connection and attraction. Eventually, James confessed his love for Stacy, and she accepted. They decided to marry the following year.
Stacy also met Steven Moonstone, a short-haired blonde man with blue eyes who was her neighbor and had always been fond of her older sister, Clare Spark.
Steven asked Stacy to wait in front of his house as he wanted to show her something. After a moment, he returned with a gold ring set with a diamond, telling Stacy that he had saved up money to buy it for her.
From the second floor of the Spark family home, Clare watched Stacy accepting the ring, feeling a sense of sadness. She had always liked Steven and thought, "If only Stacy weren't here, Steven would always be with me." She closed her eyes and walked away from the window.
Stacy, feeling happy, returned the ring to Steven, saying she had already been proposed to by someone from America. Steven was taken aback but promised to gather his courage to ask Clare to marry him, and asked Stacy to wait outside while he kept the ring.
Several cars then arrived, and men quickly covered Stacy's mouth, taking her away to an unknown location.
When Steven returned, thinking Stacy had entered her house, he went inside and started chatting on WhatsApp, unaware that his messages were only showing one tick. He assumed Stacy's phone battery had died or there was an issue with her internet connection.
Later that afternoon, as the sky darkened, the Spark family knocked on Steven's door to inquire about Stacy's whereabouts. Steven's mother opened the door, and they informed her that Stacy was missing.
Steven froze, hearing this. He immediately grabbed his phone, realizing his messages hadn't been delivered. He rushed out to search for Stacy, and upon returning, he noticed a CCTV camera in front of their house. He asked the owner to review the footage and discovered that Stacy had been kidnapped. The owner was shocked—armed men had come and abducted her.
Steven obtained a copy of the CCTV footage and brought it to the police station. There, they found that the kidnappers wore distinctive necklaces matching those found in Interpol's black list. The police quickly began patrolling the streets, closing off exits to London and securing airports and stations.
The necklace was linked to a gang called Great Street Solidarity, part of the Five Mafia Families in America. The Five Mafia Families controlled various criminal enterprises:
Nightmare: a gang that dominated Brooklyn, producing drugs like meth, heroin, and cocaine.
Great Street Solidarity: took control of Manhattan after the Walking Death Tragedy, extorting business owners for protection money.
Sky Blue Family: controlled Queens and both JFK and LaGuardia airports, dealing in international drug exports.
Scarface Capone: a powerful gang from Chicago, now based in New Jersey, dealing in weapons trafficking.
Untouchables of Staten: previously known as Wolf Staten, they controlled Staten Island and were involved in drug storage and kidnapping.
The police in London alerted Interpol, which then passed the information on to NYPD.
New York, United States
James G. Renave was eating snacks while looking at his phone, sending messages to Stacy Spark, but receiving no reply. He assumed Stacy had fallen asleep and her phone had died. He switched on the TV and watched a comedy show before getting bored. Checking the time, he saw it was 10:00 PM, so he turned off the TV, went to his bedroom, and gazed out of his apartment window. The rainy New York sky shimmered under the full moon. He whispered, "Good night, Stacy. Sweet dreams," and closed the curtains, ready to sleep.
His phone rang at 1:00 AM. It was a message from someone named Ethan. James quickly got out of bed and put on his work clothes.
At NYPD headquarters, James entered the office of Ethan Carter, the NYPD chief. Ethan handed James an envelope, saying, "It's a kidnapping case from London, forwarded by Interpol." With his eyes half-closed from sleep, James opened the envelope and saw the victim's profile.
"Stacy Spark," he murmured.
James dropped the envelope and began to cry. He sat down, then picked it up again and started investigating the suspects.
James saw a photo of Stacy being forced into a car and recognized the necklace. He asked Ethan to check with CBP (Customs and Border Protection) and the Coast Guard while he contacted the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) for flight schedules into the U.S.
Although James found no leads, Ethan learned that a convoy of vehicles had passed through Texas an hour earlier and was heading toward Louisiana. They were expected to arrive in 2-3 hours. Louisiana and Texas police were notified, and both states began inspecting vehicles closely.
Several hours later, James and Ethan received an update: the convoy had reached Alabama and was heading toward Georgia. The police in Texas and Louisiana reported no sign of the vehicles.
Realizing the convoy was heading toward New York, they quickly prepared a plan. SWAT was deployed, and the FBI was called in to assist. James and Ethan speculated that the kidnappers might have bribed police to avoid detection.
They used satellite images and discovered the convoy crossing the George Washington Bridge into New York. The police set up a roadblock with the help of New Jersey officers. After searching the vehicles, they found one girl asleep. Her bracelet matched Stacy's, but her face and clothes were different. James touched her face, only to be stopped by the men present, who claimed she was their boss. But when James felt her cheek, it seemed too synthetic. He pinched her face, and the mask came off, revealing Stacy's face, still drugged and with her mouth taped shut. The police arrested the kidnappers.
Ethan spotted a stack of documents on the dashboard of one of the cars and read through them. They were Stacy's profile, and it became clear that Bruno Genovese was behind the kidnapping.
James checked the car and noticed that the seat upholstery looked unusual. He ordered one of the officers to rip it open. Inside, they found packages of white powder—heroin, cocaine, and other chemicals ready for distribution.
James ordered the immediate capture of Bruno Genovese. Ethan agreed.
The next morning, Bruno looked out the window of his house and saw hundreds of police cars and helicopters surrounding the area. SWAT and FBI teams arrived to secure the location.
"Bruno Genovese, you are under arrest for international kidnapping and drug trafficking," James declared angrily.
Bruno smiled and walked out alone, instructing his gang members to remain silent. As he passed James, he whispered, "You will die."
News outlets reported the arrest, and James received dozens of warning letters. Ethan advised him to leave New York and go to Indonesia until the situation calmed down.
Polonia International Airport
James and Stacy decided to leave for Indonesia that same month, abandoning their previous identities. They learned the language and culture of Indonesia, hoping to leave their troubled past behind. Stacy gave birth to a daughter, named Lily Renave, in that same year.
