Chapter 40: Her Comeback

Mabel POV

I wondered if I had heard right as he said those words, we talked this morning but there was nothing wrong. Not in his voice and not in the way he talked to me. 

Hearing him telling me he wanted to break up right now made me wonder what was wrong. 

His voice right now held no emotions as I could sense that it was his final wish, to leave me without thinking about it. Or maybe he had been thinking about it and finally came to a conclusion to break up with me. 

I moved closer to him sitting on his desk.

"What's wrong?" I asked as I lifted his chin up with my hands but met his cold gaze instead. Cold and terrifying. 

I tried to check if I've always seen that glare he shot at me with before but couldn't find the memory in my head because it wasn't there. 

I took my hands off immediately.
