บท 93: Chapter 93: Journey to the Moon

The Main House must maintain its dignity. The elders of the Branch Family clearly harbored rebellious thoughts, and such insolence could not go unpunished. A harsh example was necessary to quell any further ambitions.

As time passed, the agonized cries gradually faded, eventually giving way to silence. The defeated Branch Family members collapsed to the ground, unconscious and convulsing. Yet, the elder of the Main House did not release the Caged Bird technique. His hands continued forming seals, mercilessly reinforcing the punishment.

Only when the Branch members teetered on the brink of complete mental collapse did he finally halt.

They were experts in utilizing the Caged Bird. It was a skill honed to perfection—lethal when they wanted it to be, but leaving the victim alive if they so chose.

Hiashi turned to the terrified maids nearby. His tone was calm but commanding.

"Take them away," he ordered.

Meanwhile, Akira had returned to his laboratory. With precision, he began preparations for his next project: cultivating a clone of Hinata. This time, his goal was singular—obtaining the Byakugan.

"Such a shame that targeted cloning technology hasn't been developed yet," Akira thought to himself.

"If it existed, I wouldn't have to go through the trouble of creating an entire clone just to harvest the Byakugan."

As he completed the process, Akira's mind wandered to the events at the Hyūga Clan and the unexpected appearance of the Ōtsutsuki from the Moon.

"They showed up at just the right time. I've been wondering where exactly the Moon Ōtsutsuki are hiding. This will save me some effort."

Activating his astral projection, Akira's spiritual body separated from his physical form, enabling him to scout freely.

The Moon was vast, and while using Kamui made reaching it simple, locating the Ōtsutsuki Clan's hidden realm was another matter entirely. Akira knew that within the Moon's core lay a separate dimension, created by Ōtsutsuki Hamura himself. However, pinpointing its location was no easy task.

The sudden appearance of the Moon Ōtsutsuki provided the perfect lead. Extending his sensory perception, Akira immediately locked onto the chakra signature of the Ōtsutsuki who had arrived earlier via a peculiar floating chariot.

"Impressive speed… puppets, all of them? They look almost human," Akira mused, his sharp senses picking up on the truth.

Through his sensory link, he discovered something remarkable: a hidden passage connecting the Moon to the Earth.

"So, the portal's here," Akira muttered with a smirk.

In the southern region of the Land of Fire, the chakra signature had briefly vanished, reappearing moments later on the Moon. The Ōtsutsuki had constructed a secret spatial corridor using the power of the Tenseigan, allowing seamless travel between the two realms.

With this knowledge in hand, Akira's lips curled into a grin.

"I've found it—their hidden sanctuary."

In an instant, Akira vanished from his private laboratory, reappearing moments later in the Moon's core—a vast expanse of space hidden deep within.

The world within the Moon was eerily silent. Akira, now wearing a tiger-striped mask and a black cloak adorned with red clouds, allowed only his crimson right eye to remain visible.

The environment bore a striking resemblance to the architecture of the Hyūga Clan, though the atmosphere was utterly devoid of life. A pale, stagnant light illuminated the deserted structures, evoking a sense of lifelessness.

"Looks like the Moon Ōtsutsuki Clan is on the brink of extinction," Akira muttered as he surveyed the ghostly settlement.

He turned his gaze toward a distant point within the settlement, where his heightened sensory abilities detected fifteen chakra signatures. Among them, three were exceptionally powerful—on par with or even surpassing Sarutobi Hiruzen.

Before making his move, Akira's attention was drawn to a floating island suspended in the air.

Perched atop the island was a majestic temple radiating an overwhelming presence. From within, Akira felt a terrifying concentration of chakra and ocular power.

"So, that's where the Tenseigan resides," he murmured, his voice tinged with awe. "Such a treasure… It's a shame Naruto and Hinata destroyed it. A weapon like that would've been perfect for dealing with the Ōtsutsuki Clan."

He shook his head, knowing his current strength was insufficient to approach the Tenseigan. Those without Hamura's bloodline would meet certain death if they ventured too close.

For now, he turned his focus back to the cluster of buildings. As he stepped deeper into the settlement, the silence shattered with a sharp, piercing sound.

The Ōtsutsuki of the Moon, though their Byakugan had been integrated into the Tenseigan, still retained the ability to monitor their domain. Akira's presence had not gone unnoticed.

In an instant, shadows emerged from the surrounding buildings, rushing toward him.

Within seconds, Akira found himself surrounded by at least a hundred figures.

"Puppets?!" Akira was momentarily taken aback. "So many of them… The Tenseigan truly creates the most formidable puppet masters. Compared to this, Sasori's skills seem almost amateurish."

These puppets, enhanced by the Tenseigan, needed no chakra strings to function. They operated autonomously, attacking with precision and intelligence. Their movements were so fluid that distinguishing them from living beings was nearly impossible.

As the puppets charged, their weapons gleaming and some even launching golden chakra orbs, Akira's crimson eye glowed with power.

Activating Kamui, Akira's body entered a state of intangibility, rendering him immune to their attacks.

"No physical attack can touch me now," he murmured.

Assessing the puppets' strength, Akira couldn't help but nod in approval.

"They possess the speed and power of elite jōnin, and their combat experience is formidable. No wonder Toneri dared to raid Kumogakure and abduct Hinata in the future."

With a flick of his wrist, Akira unleashed his counterattack. Black lightning erupted around him, crackling with deadly intensity.

"Kamui!"

The devastating energy surged outward, consuming the surrounding puppets. Wherever the black lightning passed, parts of the puppets' bodies vanished, as if devoured by an unseen force.

The battlefield was soon littered with mangled remains, the once-terrifying army reduced to broken scraps.

Akira surveyed the destruction with satisfaction. This technique, born from his fusion of Kamui and Lightning Release, was a testament to his ingenuity—a jutsu of absolute lethality.

"There's no defense against this," Akira said softly, his figure disappearing deeper into the settlement.
