"Still nothing," he muttered, ruffling his hair as flashes of the previous night's events surged into his mind.

He remembered sending Pratham and Mikasa into the dimensional plane to expand their species.

The thought of his creations hard at work filled him with both pride and an odd sense of loneliness.

"I've gotten used to having them around," Adam admitted to himself. "It feels strange not seeing their chaotic antics every morning."
