บท 31: Limits of Exponential Growth

Kai's return to the land of the living was blinding.

Dazzling rays of light escaped the trappings of overarching branches and leaves, landing squarely on his face. Kai raised his hand to block the light as he took in the scents of the jungle. In his earlier crusade against men and beasts he had ignored all other aspects, but now that the battle was over they hit him with the force of a dragon.

The smell of the Bès Rap's shit was gone. Or maybe he was unaffected by it now that he corrupted the beast. Either way, this led the path for other smells to wash over Kai.
