'Ultimate power?' Kai asked Anhita, knowing his query probably couldn't be answered in time. The Bes Rap was right next to him, and this time Kai wasn't looking to get hit by its tail. It was likely he'd have to defeat the beast before he learned about this new avenue for power.

<On the contrary, Kai. You'll learn about beast affinity just by virtue of battle, even if I can't explain it in full. It's a simple concept for a regular idiot, let alone a genius like you.>

Anhita said in a cheery voice that subsided even Kai's bloodlust for a second, creating a small arc that could be considered a smile.

'I'll trust you with that.' Kai said as he began formulating a plan against the Bes Rap.

He was lucky to have been sent so far away from its intoxicating dung, as it would probably incapacitate him even now, after all of his new strength. The beast was menacing enough itself as well–Kai definitely didn't need any more problems.
