The academy was in chaos. Panic spread like wildfire as the shrill wail of the alarm echoed through the halls. Students rushed to their designated safe zones, faculty members scrambled to organize a defense, and the air was thick with the palpable tension of impending disaster.
David and Brodie rushed toward the back gate, their footsteps quick and determined. But when they arrived, they froze.
A massive shadow loomed over the academy grounds. A group of S-rank monsters—at least twenty-five strong—stood at the back gates, their monstrous forms casting terrifying shadows on the academy's walls. The monsters were all different, each more formidable than the last, ranging from towering beasts with molten eyes to serpentine creatures whose scales shimmered with venomous energy.
Brodie cursed under his breath. "This is bad… very bad."
David's jaw clenched. "There's no way we can take on all of them. We'll need help."
