writing this here before I forget story idea: (sparknotes version) mc meets and befriends future herscher, life threatening situation = mc "dies" offers himself up to the honkai, unawakened herscher wakes up, mc becomes their contacted honkai beast or whatever it's called, and the story turns into a them vs the world. thought it would be interesting
I remember this fanfic, it's very good with good character development. Mei is the last to join the team, but it doesn't matter. .
