12.5% JJK: Developing my potential / Chapter 2: 2.-Rise

บท 2: 2.-Rise

In an unknown corner of existence, immersed in absolute chaos, two entities stood facing each other. The first, a tiny human soul; the second, an amorphous being of uncertain origin.

"Sometimes, dreams come true," whispered the amorphous being, its voice resonating in the chaos of iridescent lights that surrounded them.

"It is said that when many people unite with a common goal, they can achieve astonishing feats," it continued, its form fluctuating like a reflection in murky water—ever-changing and ethereal.

"Have you ever wondered what would happen if innumerable souls shared a dream?"

"What if a fervent multitude longed for the same thing?" asked the amorphous being, its contours blurring within the iridescence that enveloped them.

"Do you think they would succeed?" inquired the mystical presence, enveloping the soul that watched in awe and curiosity.

"Don't worry; you don't need to answer," it assured calmly.

"Because I am the living proof that it's possible."

"I won't linger any longer, young one," it said solemnly.

"I will fulfill my purpose, for my existence originated from the desires of those who seek a second chance, and for that, I am profoundly grateful," it spoke, then released a torrent of energy that wrapped around the human soul and pulled it away, beyond the bounds of the known chaos.

"I hope to see you again, my boy," murmured the amorphous being as the soul drifted away, fading into the distance like a shooting star. "My power doesn't reveal the destinies of those to whom I grant a second chance, and none of them have returned to visit me. Perhaps..... you'll be the first."

--[Tokyo, Japón]--

In a room of a middle-class house nestled within a suburban neighborhood, a black-haired child who appeared to be around four years old lay sleeping peacefully. Suddenly, a beam of power—one that had traversed the multiverse for who knows how long—collided with his small form.

Upon impact, the beam of light, having fulfilled its purpose, extinguished abruptly.

After the light dissipated, the soul it had been carrying entered the still-sleeping child's body. Once the soul was fully lodged within the infant's form, the child awoke abruptly.

"Mmmmmght!!!", The boy let out a muffled cry, tensing and curling into a fetal position purely by instinct, as he grappled with a situation as extraordinary as it was painful.

The pain he experienced was so intense that he couldn't even scream or open his eyes; he could only lie still, suffering, and hoping it would pass soon—or perhaps hoping that whatever was causing this agony would take pity and grant him the sweet relief of death.

However, the pain wouldn't cease until the world managed to subdue it. The world had sensed the presence of the foreign soul within his body and desired it under its control and dominion. Perhaps the child was unaware or not at fault, but the world didn't care; such was its nature.

'Damn it, what the hell is this?', thought the soul that had been dragged by the beam of light while it endured its torment.

'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!', Meanwhile, Megumi Fushiguro's own soul suffered, unable to string together a single thought that could help him escape this situation.

Pain

That word was the only one that could describe what the two souls were experiencing—equally bewildered by the situation they currently found themselves in.

'Damn it, I don't understand what's happening, but I need to get up', thought the more experienced soul inhabiting the infant's body.

Even in the fetal position, pain coursing through both body and soul, Woon Gi analyzed his situation. 'My body won't move. I feel immense pain, and I can't even open my eyes. This isn't the same alley—it doesn't smell of urine, and the ground isn't rough. Instead, the place I'm in now carries the scent of lavender and has a soft, cushioned floor'.

'Which means I've changed locations'.

'Perhaps someone found me and decided to take me to the hospital. That would explain why I'm still alive and lying on this comfortable surface, which might be a bed. Although it's astonishing that I survived the wounds those damn assailants inflicted', he deduced, momentarily ceasing his struggle.

'Or perhaps… those bastards still want something from me and transported me to another location to torture me!', Woon Gi thought, renewed determination fueling his struggle.

'Damn it, there's no time to dwell on how or why I'm here. Focus, Woon Gi! You must inspect this place first. Get up already!'

Originally, if the world hadn't intervened upon noticing Woon Gi, his soul would have gradually merged with Megumi Fushiguro's, and naturally, he would have been bound by the destiny anchor placed on Megumi at conception.

However, due to the world's imprudence, Woon Gi realized that something was happening to him—something intensified by the excruciating pain he felt—and he fought against it with all his might.

As Woon Gi struggled, something strange was unfolding in the world, causing all sorcerers, including the formidable Gojo Satoru himself, to be on high alert.

–[Tokyo jujutsu high]–

"What? What the hell is happening to the cursed energy in the environment?" wondered Gojo Satoru, who sat in his room, tense as he observed with all six eyes.

Never before had he witnessed anything like this. No other sorcerer or curse had caused the environment to react in such a manner in his presence. The inexplicability of the phenomenon left him uneasy.

As Satoru continued analyzing the situation, he was abruptly pulled from his reverie by the sound of approaching footsteps in the distance.

Footsteps echoed throughout the Jujutsu school.

Suddenly, the door to Gojo Satoru's room swung open, and an agitated young man with bangs burst in.

"Satoru!! Do you have any idea what the hell is going on?" The bangs-wearing youth exclaimed. "You're the only one I believe capable of releasing this pressure."

"I don't know, Suguru!! Maybe a new special-grade cursed spirit is emerging in the academy, or perhaps Yuki Tsukumo is in battle," Satoru replied, equally worked up.

Gojo had never experienced this kind of feeling before. At this moment, his six eyes were working against him, allowing him to perceive the changes in the world better than anyone else. It was Satoru's own sensory ability that made him the most unsettled person in the room.

"I've already sent my curses to investigate the surroundings, but we should still go see Yaga-Sensei. Maybe he can tell us what's happening," Geto said, calming down and thinking rationally.

"Let's go," Gojo said, ready to sprint alongside Geto.

"That won't be necessary," a deep voice sounded behind Geto and Satoru, startling them.

"Probably only students like you would have doubts, but for us adults, this has already happened once," said Masamichi Yaga with a solemn and serious tone.

At that moment, Satoru and Suguru's minds formed an identical theory, and they both exclaimed incredulously at the same time: "You mean the birth of…?"

"Yes, this is exactly like when Gojo Satoru was born," Yaga interrupted his students, leaving the room in silence.

--[Returned with Woon GI]--

'Don't give up, Woon Gi. As long as you're alive, there's hope,' Woon Gi whispered to himself as he leaned against the ground.

'Get up', 'Rise', he thought, gritting his teeth while still on his knees.

'I… must… get out of here!', Woon Gi screamed internally as he stood up and opened his eyes.

Crack.

In that moment, the pain he felt dissipated.

"Phew", Woon Gi sighed in relief before the world spun around him.

Pun!!!!!!!!

After a fierce struggle against the world, emerging victorious, Woon Gi couldn't hold on any longer and collapsed, unconscious.
