บท 8: Ch-8 Killing Captain Hydra!
The intense pain woke the Captain Hydra. He let out an incredibly realistic scream! He quickly realized what had happened and cried out in agony:
"My arm! You fu***ng devil!"
Russell stepped over the Captain Hydra and planted one foot firmly on his chest with a slightly malicious smile:
"Now I ask, you answer!"
"If you answer well, I might consider letting you go. But if you don't behave, I'll show you what a real demon is!"
Steve's expression twisted with pain as he forced himself to speak:
"You'll let me live if I talk?"
Russell nodded and pointed earnestly at himself:
"I'm not an evil villain like you, so of course I'll keep my word. Besides, do you have any other options? If not, I'll cut off both your legs and leave you here as a snack for the Alioth."
Steve's body shuddered instinctively.
He knew that once eaten by that beast, even the soul would be completely destroyed. Even he didn't want to face such an end.
"I agree!" he said, his voice strained. "Remember your words!"
He had no choice but to trust Russell to keep his promise.
Russell nodded in satisfaction and asked the first question:
"How big is the Voidland?"
Steve shook his head and quickly replied:
"I don't know... No, I mean nobody knows. This place doesn't feel like a planet. It's endless, and even the sunlight seems fake.
Special dimensional space? Russell instinctively thought of this possibility.
After thinking for a moment, he asked again:
"What are the forces here?"
"Don't lie. I'll check everything before I let you go!"
Steve's face changed slightly. He had planned to lead Russell into a dangerous area, but those words blocked that option.
He took a deep breath, still too scared to lie, and answered honestly:
"There's a group of Deadpools in the forest on the other side of the plain. It's disgusting - no one likes to go there."
"If you go further, there's a mutant gathering place by the lake, 200 kilometers away. There are some normal people there, too."
"In the valley on the right is a black market trading post.
"Further to the right is an abandoned town. That's the territory of Loki and his gang. Those mindless idiots even elected a president."
"To the right of the town is a damp, mossy plain. I don't know what's there."
"Of course, there are also some lone wolves and small groups scattered around. Their exact locations are unknown."
"As for going left..."
At this, he shivered involuntarily, showing a hint of fear.
"Going left and deeper into the plain... there's a terrifying, bald, psychopathic woman. She likes to torture and kill people."
"This is a restricted area. No one goes there unless they're a fool."
Russell listened and sensed that Steve wasn't lying. He was probably referring to Cassandra Nova, the mentally unstable woman.
I'm not going there now. Even with a furnace overload, I probably don't stand a chance! The base of Loki's variant seems safer.
But Russell wasn't satisfied with this information. He looked down at Steve, his eyes blazing red with a scarlet glow, and spoke in a low voice:
"What else?"
"Are you forgetting something?"
Hearing that devilish whisper, the Captain Hydra trembled, but still dared not lie. He confessed,
"My base is in a cave under a dry riverbed, more than ten kilometers away."
"I have three teammates: Peter Parker, Tony Stark, and the mage Mordo of Kamar-Taj."
Upon hearing these familiar names, Russell knew these weren't the people he knew. They were probably evil variants, or they wouldn't be working with Captain Hydra.
Russell narrowed his eyes. There was an entry system for looting, and he couldn't deny that he was tempted.
Spider-Man's super body and spider-sense! Iron Man could help him unlock the TemPad. Mordo's magical methods could be incredibly useful.
Using Furnace Overload, his attacks would no longer be limited to energy beams. He could cast spells endlessly without worrying about running out of power.
But rushing in recklessly would almost certainly lead to failure. Firstly, he had little combat experience. Second, those three were not weak.
Spider-Men is usually excellent fighter and his strikes can easily exceed ten tons of power. Even with the Extremis virus, it might be impossible to survive a single blow.
And with the three of them working together, their combination of long-range and short-range attacks would be formidable.
After thinking it over, Russell decided to proceed cautiously.
As long as those three didn't leave, there would always be a chance. He would have to take things one step at a time, taking the power in front of him first.
Russell looked down at the Hydra captain, no longer able to hide the malice in his eyes.
Steve read his expression instantly, disbelief filling his face as he roared:
"You lied to me!!!"
"How can you break your promise? What kind of hero are you?"
Russell's eyebrows furrowed and his face fell into shadow. After a few seconds, he raised his head and smiled:
"Too bad, I never wanted to be a hero in this fu***ng Marvel world."
Without hesitation, he stepped forward!
His foot, glowing red, snapped Captain Hydra's neck, silencing the words in his throat.
At the same time, the system's message echoed:
