"Now the three of them won't get off my back, constantly asking for more and more money. The funny part is that the argument my parents make is that if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have made it to where I am," laughed Julian.
His childhood had been really difficult, being ignored and rarely shown any affection. "One of the best days of my life was when I turned 18 and moved out," he added.
Rayne's heart hurt for him. She never expected that the country's most successful businessman and researcher would have had such a difficult childhood.
Rayne leaned over and put her arms around his waist, giving him a hug. "I'm sorry you had such a hard childhood. I am proud of your success. Being able to take hold of your future like that takes a lot of strength."
Julian felt warm from her hug. He lifted her so that she was now sitting on his lap and placed his arms around her. "Thank you, Rayne. Your words mean a lot to me."
