บท 93: CHAPTER 93

Kieran got worse. 

He stopped showing up for hangouts with me and my son. He stopped picking my calls. 

Whenever he deign to make an appearance, his entire face always blank.. Devoid of all feelings and emotions.

His actions were methodical, a routine his body had gotten used to. There was no life in him, no glimpse of the man he used to be. 

My ex husband stopped living. He started to merely exist.

And it worried the hell out of me. No matter how much I asked though, he always deflected.

"Mummy. Where is daddy?" Noah asked, his question jolting me out of my thoughts. 

My heart skipped a bit at the lie I would have to tell my son as I crouched down to look into his eyes. 

"Daddy is busy, my love. Why do you ask?" I responded softly.

Noah looked back at the toys he was playing with few minutes ago.

"I miss him. He never comes to see us anymore," my son mumbled.

I sighed, exasperated beyond measure.
