I didn't see the news. Not at first.

Archie was the first person to find out, and whether he was the one who told Charlotte or not, I had no idea. 

And honestly? I didn't care either.

Because the moment the both of them called me to relay the damning news to me was the moment the world ended.

The moment my world ended.

I was a father. 

I had a son, who looked to be about four to five years old, and I knew nothing about him all these while.

When I heard about Edwina's engagement, my entire world had come crashing down around me. 

I felt like I had been punched in the gut, my breath knocked out of me. My body went numb, paralyzed by the sheer force of the betrayal. 

It became frozen, like I was in a block of ice, unable to move, think, or feel.

But this news? Realising that I had been a father for years without my knowledge?
