Continuing to use Elizabeth's sight as my own, I couldn't help but smile as our small party of twelve continued to walk up the long driveway.
Gators chirped on either side of the paved surface, reminding us of their presence, but even that wasn't enough to discourage the happiness of the people around me.
Jennifer was practically bouncing with every step as she followed behind Elizabeth, while some of the other girls whispered amongst themselves.
Even the men, Isaac, Jeremiah, and the third guy couldn't contain their excitement as they started walking faster now that the front door was in view.
In fact, the only one who didn't seem to be as excited as everyone else was Elizabeth.
"Are you okay?" I asked in concern, turning to look at the woman. Of course, I wasn't able to see her, but she was practically vibrating, and I didn't think it was with delight.
Apparently, my Newfie is coming out.
In Newfoundland, a place with it's own English... mother is pronounced more like mudder...
They are also the ones that started the rumor that all Canadians say aboot, instead of about.
It's really a magical place, if I do say so myself.
