The following morning, Vivian roused early only to find the space beside her empty and the white sheets crumpled. The previous night, the Lycan brought her back to the safety of the coven mansion, and after a brief washup, she'd fallen asleep in his arms once he shifted back into his human skin.

However, she was surprised to discover he'd departed without informing her. Actually, leaving in the first place before her awakening was unusual.

Perhaps Ronan had taken control again; otherwise, the Lycan himself was too possessive to let her out of his sight.
