The morning sun filtered through the trees as we gathered at the academy's training grounds. Today was the day we'd start learning one of the most iconic skills of any shinobi: shuriken throwing. I was excited, though I knew it wasn't going to be easy right off the bat.

As we lined up, Tsunade walked up next to me, hands behind her head, looking relaxed as ever. "You ready to show off your skills today?" she teased, giving me a playful nudge.

I smirked. "I'll give it my best shot. Just don't be too surprised when I outshine you."

She raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms. "Right. We'll see about that."

The academy's instructor, Udo-sensei, soon stepped forward, holding a small bundle of shuriken. "Alright, listen up. Today's all about technique and precision. Don't worry if you don't get it right immediately—mastery comes with practice." He glanced at the clan kids. "I'm sure some of you already know this."

I shot a glance at Tsunade, who just smiled smugly. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw Orochimaru silently standing near the front, completely focused, while Jiraiya, as usual, looked distracted.

Udo-sensei gave us a quick demonstration, explaining the grip, the throw, and the follow-through. "Now, step up one by one. Don't rush. Focus on your aim."

Tsunade went first, throwing her shuriken with precision, though she wasn't perfect. She shrugged and walked back over to me. "Not bad for a warm-up," she said with a grin.

"Yeah, not bad," I replied, trying to sound unimpressed, though she clearly had some talent.

Then came Jiraiya's turn. He confidently walked up to the line, twirling a shuriken on his finger like he was some kind of pro. "Alright, everyone, watch and learn!"

He threw it with way too much force. The shuriken sailed right over the target, hit a tree, and bounced off, landing somewhere in the bushes. The entire class burst into laughter, and Jiraiya scratched the back of his head awkwardly. "Uh...just warming up."

I shook my head. "Classic Jiraiya."

Tsunade chuckled beside me. "At least he's good for a laugh."

Next up was Orochimaru. As expected, he took a steady stance and calmly threw the shuriken. Each one hit the target, near the center but not quite perfect. He returned without a word, his expression unreadable.

"Of course," I muttered. "He just has to be good at everything."

When the Uchiha girl, Hana, stepped up, she threw with perfect form. Every single shuriken landed dead-center. The class was silent for a moment, clearly impressed.

Tsunade whistled. "Well, looks like we know who's topping today."

"Not surprised," I said, sighing. "It's always the Uchiha."

Then it was finally my turn. I grabbed a shuriken and took a deep breath, feeling everyone's eyes on me. My first throw? It missed the target entirely, landing a few feet away in the dirt.

Tsunade burst out laughing, and even I couldn't help but chuckle. "Told you," she said, grinning widely.

"Yeah, yeah," I muttered, shaking my head. "Give me a minute."

The next couple of throws were better, but still far from great. I could feel my frustration building, but I reminded myself that it was just practice. As I focused, something clicked. With each throw, I began to feel more in tune with the motion, the energy behind the throw.

After several tries, I finally hit the target! It wasn't perfect, but it was enough to give me a surge of confidence.

[Skill Gained: Shurikenjutsu Level 1]

With that notification in mind, I continued throwing, and though I didn't hit the bullseye every time, I was improving rapidly.

As the class wrapped up, I couldn't help but feel excited about my progress. I might not have been the best today, but I was learning quickly, and that was what mattered.

When I returned home, the first thing I did was initiate a trade with the system.

'Trade Shurikenjutsu.'

The familiar prompt appeared in my mind.

[Trade initiated.

Object: Shurikenjutsu.

Options:

1. Basic Taijutsu Techniques

2. Basic Kendo

3. Basic Needle Throwing ]

I scanned the options, my heart racing. I had a clear choice. I needed to improve my hand-to-hand combat skills.

Without hesitation, I selected Basic Taijutsu Techniques.

The trade was complete, and suddenly, it felt as though I had an immediate understanding of how to throw a punch, dodge an attack, and position my body in a fight. My muscles seemed to know what to do before my brain did. I grinned, knowing this was only the beginning.

In that moment, I felt a wave of confidence wash over me. With each skill I learned and traded, I was not just keeping up; I was setting the stage to become a formidable shinobi.

As I sat back, imagining my future battles, I couldn't help but smile. Tomorrow would bring new challenges, and I was ready to meet them head-on.
