บท 6: Chapter 6 – Found Out
The next day, All Might suddenly pulled me to the side with a serious face when I arrived at the beach.
"Stop what you're doing." He said in a low voice. "It's dangerous."
I blinked at him. "What do you mean?"
"Young Saiki, this isn't good for you. I... Anyway, stop going to that underground place. You don't know what kind of people you will meet there."
I was found out, huh?
Must be his detective friend that told him. I noticed some police officers among the spectators lately. They must be checking that place out. And the last nail in the coffin was what happened yesterday.
'The incident took place near the underground arena.'
He must be worried about me.
"Sorry, Yagi-san. I... need some money to survive. That was my only choice."
It wasn't like I had any parents or guardians to pay for my daily life. If I didn't work hard, I would be thrown back into the orphanage, and I didn't want that to happen.
And this answer would tug All Might's heart. He was always a softie toward a younger generation.
"Young Saiki... What do you need money for?"
"I need it to live, sir. I'm living by myself and the government's help can only go so far. To enter UA, I also need money and they don't fall from the trees like leaves, Yagi-san."
"Oh dear..." He sighed in dismay. "Don't worry, Young Saiki. I'll talk to some of my friends and help you get a job or something. So please don't go to that place again."
"You don't need to do that." I waved my hand at him. "I have no intention to return to that place now. The entrance ceremony is already close and I need to train my quirk for UA."
That seemed to cheer him up a little.
"Then it's great! Do you want me to help you train your quirk?"
"That will be appreciated sir."
"Good! I will teach you how to use your power effectively then! Come on, let's not waste any more time! We only have a week left!"
I nodded and followed him back to the beach.
In the end, I sparred with Izuku again for the rest of the week. He was getting better at dodging and countering my attacks. But he was still far away. I was allowed to use my quirk and I destroyed him without giving him a chance to even touch my hair.
And before long, it was the day of the UA entrance ceremony.

"Wooden sword, ready. Clothes? I am comfortable with this tracksuit. And then..."
I checked all the necessary items for the entrance ceremony. I wanted to make a good impression on the teachers and the other students. Being liked was better than being hated.
And I was still unsure if the test would be different, considering it was a University instead of a high school.
"No use worrying about that. Time to go!"
I grabbed my backpack and walked out of the door with confidence. I couldn't get in if I was afraid of failure.
With that, I arrived at the entrance of UA University without any trouble. Many students were already gathering at the gate and talking to each other excitedly. They entered through the only entrance of this campus. Tall hall surrounded it, securing the perimeter.
I began to scan the area, looking for the teacher or anyone that looked like a teacher. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anyone in the crowd.
'Not even Izuku's face, huh?'
There were too many strangers here. Finding my friend or someone I knew among them would be difficult.
"ALRIGHT! EVERYBODY, GATHER IN FRONT OF ENTRANCE!"
Suddenly, there was a sound of an explosion in the sky and a voice on the speaker announcing to gather at the main hall for the ceremony.
I blinked in surprise and followed the crowd to the designated area.
We all stood in a large yard facing a podium at the front. Buses were parked nearby, waiting for us to board.
Standing on the podium was a man with yellow hair and a small mustache on his face. His blue eyes scanned the crowd as he spoke into the microphone.
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!" The large speakers behind him blared out his voice. "You are all here today because you are about to start the entrance exam to our University. All of you wanted to be Heroes and be part of this world!"
Everyone listened attentively to his words as he continued his speech.
"But before we start, I have a question for all of you." He asked with a smile. "Are you ready?!"
His question was met with a roar of cheers and shouts from the crowd. The atmosphere was full of excitement and energy as everyone yelled in response to his words.
"I can't hear you!"
"We're ready!"
Everyone shouted their response and raised their fist in the air. Their faces were flushed with adrenaline as they looked at each other with determination.
Present Mic grinned and nodded as he looked at the crowd with pride.
"Alright! Alright! That's more like it! Now, let's get started! Everyone boards the buses!"
As soon as he finished speaking, several buses drove into the courtyard and stopped in front of the group. The orientation was shorter than the anime. But I guessed that might be because we were already adults so they hoped we could understand it with just that.
We all got in line and boarded the buses as instructed. It was a short ride to the next destination. Tall wall and gate with an alphabet written on it. The one in front of me was G, meaning I was in the 7th battle center.
With a quick scan, I was able to find a familiar face. It was Momo Yaoyorozu. When I saw her in her red sports dress and high ponytail, I was mesmerized.
'Holy shit. She's so sexy.'
Her face was soft and gentle, but her eyes shone with confidence and intelligence. She caught me staring and gave me a small smile in return. I smiled back and nodded.
'Damn. As expected of the sexiest student in UA. I saw the illustration at the end where they are older but... right now she's even sexier than that. But... Why is she here? Isn't she in a recommendation exam? Or is there nothing like that in this world?'
I decided not to bother with it right now. The entrance exam would be starting soon, so I took out my wooden sword from my golf bag.
"ALRIGHT EVERYONE!"
Present Mic's voice echoed through the speakers once again, startling me a little.
"Enter through the gates and defeat all of your enemies! Good luck!"
