".... Would you stay my side? Or stride into the Night?."

"Snip... Snip..."

A golden scissors slided through Valitis' silky silver hair. It was held by Belladonna who made it's movements precise but hesitant.

Earlier, Valitis had demanded she cut his hair, and now, here she was, alone with him in his room, the only sound the soft clipping of the scissors.

Valitis sat facing a wide mirror, his gaze fixed on the glass. He admired Belladonna's careful technique, but his eyes also caught the faint furrow of her brow. He knew she was uncomfortable, and not just with the task at hand. Her frown could tell of a deeper resentment – towards him.

Minutes passed by, and Belladonna smiled, satisfied with her handiwork. "Done," she said, stepping back to admire her work.

With his hair trimmed to a better shoulder length, she smiled.
