Chapter 3: The First Howl

It was such a quiet night that it seemed impossible for such an extraordinary event to break the calm. The full moon illuminated the sky, but something beyond simple lunar influence was at play. Ethan Black, unknowingly, was about to cross a line that would change him forever

He had been having disturbing dreams for weeks. Fragmented images of a place that he did not know but that he felt familiar. A ritual, huge wolves surrounding a circle, and in the center, a colossal, intimidating beast, similar to the monster from your worst nightmares. This being, who seemed to have more in common with myths than reality, stared at him and uttered a warning in each dream: "Change is coming." Despite the fear that these visions caused him, Ethan had never talked about them, not even with his father. But tonight, the warnings would make sense.

Walking through the forest to clear his mind of the dreams that overwhelmed him, suddenly, a sharp pain went through his body as if every bone was fractured at once. Ethan fell to the ground, unable to control the spasms that coursed through him. "What is happening to me?" he thought between gasps. The pain was unbearable, as if his body was being torn from itself. "It can't be real," he repeated over and over in his mind. But it was. He felt his skin stretch, his muscles enlarge, and when he tried to scream, only a deep, piercing howl came from his throat

The howl echoed throughout the village. The listening ears of the village elders and chiefs caught the sound immediately. They knew what it meant. "It's happening," one of the bosses said quietly. Without wasting time, his father, along with the tribe's leaders, prepared for the inevitable. Ethan, his eldest son, had been the first to experience what they knew would eventually happen

Meanwhile, Ethan, now completely transformed into an imposing creature that he could barely recognize as his own reflection, he was staggering. He felt an incredible strength running through every fiber of his body, but also a disturbing sensation of not fully belonging to that new body. Everything around him looked different: the colors sharper, the smells more intense, the sounds of nature amplified as if he were living inside them.

Instinct drove him to run, and without thinking twice, he ran. He launched into the forest that bordered the village. With each step, his legs moved with agility and speed that he had not experienced before. He felt the wind against his skin and heard the sound of his breathing, in time with the accelerated beat of his heart. It was as if all of nature was aware of his presence

Upon reaching the edge of the territory, Ethan stopped. His mind was still a whirlwind of confusion. "What am I? What has happened to me?" He thought as he tried to process what happened. But he had no time for answers.

Back in the village, the howling had alerted everyone. People whispered nervously as his father and the bosses awaited Ethan's return. They knew that this transformation marked the beginning of something much bigger, something they had already foreseen. While they waited, Ethan's father, sitting in his wheelchair, couldn't help but feel a mixture of pride and worry. He knew this day would come, but he wasn't sure if Ethan would be ready for what was coming

Finally, Ethan returned to the place he had always considered home, but this time it wasn't the same boy he was. He had left hours before. Although he still felt clumsy and out of place in his new body, his instinct had guided him back

The bosses looked at him with eyes full of wonder, his breathing almost stopped. None of them expected to witness something so monumental. They knew what the legend said, but what they had seen surpassed any myth. Ethan's transformation wasn't just that of a wolf: he was the embodiment of an ancient power none of them had imagined. Then, before his eyes, Ethan's body began to shrink, his muscles relaxing, his bones rearranging until, in a matter of seconds, he was once again the young man they knew. Silence filled the air, broken only by the calm voice of his father. 'Come with us, Ethan.'

Ethan, still in shock from what had just happened, followed his father and the bosses into a small house nearby. What came next was a conversation that would change his life forever.

What came next was a conversation that would forever change Ethan's perspective on who he was and what his destiny was. They told him about the wolves, the legacy that ran through his veins, and above all, the treaty with a family of vampires called the Cullens. Although they didn't know it, these vampires would soon return to Forks.

As he listened to all this, still stunned by what he had just experienced, Ethan could only think of one thing: "What will come next?"

Chapter 4: Preparations and Visions

The dawn brought with it a strange feeling for Ethan. The world remained the same: the sun slowly rose above the horizon, the birds sang their welcome to the new day, and the smell of damp earth filled the air after the morning dew. Yet everything he had ever known felt alien. He felt different, stronger, more aware of every little detail around him. He could smell the smoke from the chimney of the house next door, hear the faint murmur of the villagers waking up. And most disturbing of all, he could feel a constant energy inside him, as if something inside him was always ready to awaken

He had spent the night up, going over what the bosses said. village they had told him. The wolves. The legacy of his family. The treaty with the Cullens. Everything that had once been simple and ordinary was now covered in a layer of mystery and danger. Ethan had never asked for any of this, and yet here he was, carrying the weight of a story that surpassed him. But he couldn't deny what he felt. Although the fear and uncertainty were still present, there was something in him that felt more alive than ever. He headed towards the beach, a place where he always found peace. The sound of the waves crashing against the rocks used to be her way of disconnecting from the world, but this time she wasn't alone in his thoughts. Every step he took seemed heavier. His mind was constantly alert. The echoes of the previous night's conversation assaulted him at every moment.

—"Your strength is no longer yours alone, Ethan"—one of the leaders had said.—"You will lead when necessary, but danger will never occur." He will be far away. The vampires could return at any moment, and when they do, you will be ready to guide us."

The weight of those words continued to crush him. Leadership was something he had always avoided. Jacob had always been the dreamer, the one who wanted to protect his family and community. Ethan, on the other hand, preferred to stay in the shadows, doing what was necessary without attracting attention. But now, he had no choice

As he looked at the horizon, a familiar figure approached him: his brother Jacob. The young man still didn't know anything about what had happened the night before. Despite everything, Ethan felt a new distance between them, as if entire worlds now separated him.

—Hey, is everything okay? —Jacob asked, with his usual energy, pushing him lightly on the shoulder—. You look... different.

Ethan forced a smile, not knowing exactly how to explain what he was feeling.

"Yes... I'm fine," he replied, although they both knew something had changed. It's just...it's been a long night.

Jacob looked at him curiously, but dropped the topic for the moment. Despite their closeness, there was always a certain barrier between the two brothers, a mixture of admiration and envy that Jacob had tried to hide. Since his parents' accident, Ethan had taken on a protective role, and although Jacob admired him for that, he had also felt that his own life was in the shadow of his older brother's strength.

And now, with the Bella's growing attention towards Ethan, those feelings intensified. Jacob had fallen in love with Bella from the first moment he met her, but her attraction to Ethan had always been there, like a silent shadow that threatened to ruin what Jacob wanted so much.

Despite the jealousy , Jacob loved his brother. He admired him. And while he didn't know it, he would soon realize that Ethan was changing in ways that neither he nor anyone else could have anticipated.

"You should take better care of yourself, Jake," Ethan said suddenly, looking back toward the horizon. —. Things... are about to change.

Jacob looked at him in bewilderment, but before he could ask anything else, Ethan turned and began walking back to the village, knowing that his time of Peace was over.

The months that followed Ethan's first transformation were ones of training and adaptation. With the guidance of the village chiefs and his father, Ethan began to learn about his heritage as the first of his line in centuries to wield such power. His strength, speed, and senses had increased to levels he could barely control at first, but as the days passed, the young wolf began to tame his new instincts.

Every morning, before the sun rose, Ethan He went into the forest to practice. His training was not only physical; He also worked on maintaining the mental calm he needed to control the beast he carried within him. Sometimes, when fury tried to overpower him, the memory of his dreams and his ancestor would arise in his mind, reminding him that this power was not just a curse, but a legacy that he should carry with pride. He not only trained for himself, but for his family, for Jacob, and for the village that would one day need him

Time moved on, and Ethan turned 17 years old. Although he had learned a lot, he knew that the real challenge was yet to come. What she didn't know was that her destiny was intrinsically linked to others, to a group that, although far away at that moment, was getting closer and closer.

Alice Cullen's POV

Alice Cullen had always been the first to know things. Her gift allowed her to see the future with a clarity that few could understand, but this vision was different. She was sitting with Jasper in their Denali home, enjoying a quiet day, when the vision hit her like an electric current.

Everything around her faded, and suddenly she found herself in a place she had never seen before. in years: Forks. The forest, the mountains, the rain... everything so familiar and at the same time different. But what caught his attention the most was not the landscape, but the people. She saw his family, Edward and Emmett, Rosalie...they were all back in Forks. And then he felt it: the presence of someone else, a new force, something that didn't fit into the order he knew. It was like a storm was approaching, a threat she still couldn't fully understand.

The vision faded, and Alice's eyes snapped open. Jasper, who had sensed her agitation, looked at her with concern

"What did you see?" "She," she asked, her voice soft, but with a hint of anxiety.

Alice took a moment to respond, processing what she had seen

"We're back in Forks," she said, still dazed. But something has changed. There's...someone else there. Someone strong.

Jasper frowned.

—Someone we know?

Alice shook her head.

—No. It's new. And I don't know what it means yet, but we'll find out.

Later, when the family gathered in the living room, Alice approached Edward and Rosalie. She knew it was time to share what she had seen, but there was something more. Another vision, one she hadn't mentioned before.

"Edward, Rosalie," she said, a soft smile on her face. This time it won't be like before. In Forks... they will find her partners.

Edward looked at her with a mixture of confusion and curiosity. He knew that Alice was rarely wrong in her visions, but this took him by surprise

"Our partners?" Edward repeated, frowning. Are you sure?

Alice nodded, her eyes shining with excitement

"Yes." And it will be something that will change everything." She looked at Rosalie meaningfully. Including you, Rose.

Rosalie, who had always maintained a distant attitude towards love after so many years of immortality, raised a skeptical eyebrow. Emmet, meanwhile, approached Edythe, Edward's twin sister, who shared her gift of mind reading. The two exchanged a knowing look, knowing that something big was coming.

With that revelation, the Cullen family would soon begin to prepare for their return to Forks, not knowing that their path would become intertwined with that of Ethan Black, a young man who He was also discovering his own destiny.
