"I don't know what you're talking about," Natalie said, feigning ignorance.
Rachel scoffed, rolling her eyes as she picked up the remote from the sofa. "You sly fox," she teased, a hint of admiration in her tone.
Natalie's face contorted in mock offense, her brows knitted together. "Don't call me that! That's offensive," she pouted, her lips pursed.
Rachel chuckled, shaking her head. "That's actually a compliment, so be grateful," she said with a straight face. "You took Charlotte's bad situation and turned it into something good and beneficial to us."
"Charlotte actually needs that. This isn't about you and me." Natalie defended.
Rachel fixed her eyes onto Natalie, her gaze piercing. "No, it–"
The knock at the door interrupted Rachel's retort. "It has to be Charlotte," she said, winking as she stood up to answer the door.
Natalie's voice rose in alarm. "Don't say anything, Rachel Miller!" she yelled, her eyes shining with warning.
