I felt myself being wrapped in a warm cocoon of embrace and opened my eyes to stare directly into Max’s beautiful, deep, dark eyes.

“Arra, you are awake…” he said gently, and I felt him let out a breath of relief.

“Max? What happened? Where am I?” I asked him, tried to sit on the bed, and realized I was in our bedroom at the Silentmane Canines Pack.

He helped me to sit and began explaining what had happened to me.

“You went into bloodlust mode and wanted to kill Abigail, not caring about anything else…”

I listened to his explanation silently.

“And in the end, I managed to stop you and brought you back to the Silentmane Canines Pack.

I was puzzled by his explanation, somehow finding it a little bit hard to believe, but I knew he wouldn't lie to me, and my not being able to remember any of it showed that everything happened just as he had explained.
