What did he do to their bodies?

Did he and my other pack members carry them back? Or did he leave them there and tell the royal pack about it?

“We brought them back and handed them over to the Ethereal Crown Pack,” Leo informed me.

“How did you explain their deaths?” I asked.

The Royals wouldn't accept their leader to die without any explanation, and I was sure they had grilled Leo about it.

“I told them I wasn't sure about it since we found them along with you, Alpha Alrick, and the others,” Leo said and added, “But now…”

He shared another look with Livie and Nate.

“Char…” Livie spoke. “I don't think we should tell anyone the truth about what happened at the DeathValley.”

“What do you mean?” I asked her in surprise.

Why shouldn't we tell anyone the truth?

“Livie is right, Lottie,” Leo agreed.

“I agree,” Nate agreed with them too. “It won't do you any good if anyone knows you killed the Alpha King and his men.”
