••• Charlotte’s POV •••
Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid Charlotte! I kept scolding and mocking myself as I drove back toward the Moon Crest Pack.
“Charlotte...” Lexi called my name worriedly.
“Don't worry about me, Lexi. I just felt stupid for hoping he’d ever change. While in truth, I had forgotten that it’s Sofia he’s in love with,” I said coldly.
“I’ve told you to forget about him,” Lexi said helplessly.
“After tonight, I will forget about him. I won't hope anymore. It was idiotic for me to let him affect my emotions. But not anymore. I won't let him hurt me anymore. I won't fall for his sorrowful act in the future. He’s with Sofia now and has nothing to do with me anymore,” I said in resolution, even though I was still hurt by the scene of Hayden in Sofia’s room, comforting her gently.
“That’s good. I don't want you to get hurt by him anymore,” Lexi said quietly.
I sighed. “Thanks for worrying about me, Lexi.”
