บท 26: Questions, A pit of despair

Life is just a step away from redemption, a battle between slaves for freedom. A struggle for survival and satisfaction is all every member of creation indulges in.

Questions drive each product of creation into insanity, and others choose to create a path without its need.

But what if everything happened for a reason? What if there lay a great cause for each action you took?

What if you did the right thing all your life, what if it wasn't enough? What if a different action could stop an endless battle, a horror, from happening?

Again and again, questions keep rising from the pits of your mind, and answers seem so far away.

Purpose in life is such a contradictory phrase. Perhaps your purpose was to lead a group of people from devastation.

Or it might be that your purpose was to kill every single being that crossed your path. It sounds bizarre, yet irrational.

As irrational as the questions of the world are, so are its answers. Think about it, were you born into this world to work tirelessly for a bundle of printed papers?

Or were you created to ensure peace within a vicinity by giving up the short life you lived?

What if that was truly the end? What if there was no afterlife?

What if your efforts were forgotten for a few days? What if it was all meaningless? These questions which the minds of mortals couldn't comprehend.

This was because they were pieces to a puzzle they never knew of. The questions they should be asking weren't any of those.

Questions posed no use, as they would not make a change to the course of life. I had been taught that destiny is something that cannot be changed.

In applying fiction, others hoped for an understanding of the laws that govern creation, however, there was none.

The gods they placed their hopes and dreams on, were mere mortals centuries ago. Their superhuman abilities, learned from the books of creation, were what differentiated them.

Deep down, they were still human. They had desires, and they sinned greatly. Even more than the mortals they ruled over.

The seven deadly sins were like a loin that wrapped their bodies, and their efforts were filled with despair and hate.

The mighty gods questioned themselves as mortals did. Asking what the meaning of life was, and why their lives were of any use within it.

However, no god pondered on it as much as Loki did. He had a sense of protection for mortals and desired their safety the most.

He questioned himself day and night before ascending to godhood. Unbeknown to him, his constant questioning had steeled his resolve.

So much, it had become a curse. A belief arose with the conscience of a greater good, and the mighty Loki drowned himself in it.

Now he fought the same people he swore to protect, and killed others in the name of sacrifice. All he wanted was to preserve human life, but it seemed he had rather become its demise.

The other end was what he called it. Total peace and joy, filled in the crevices of its greed. The other end was the final destination, and Loki wanted it dearly.

Once more, questions showed their true colors. They are just bickering thoughts of demise which constantly hunt us in our sleep.

Nothing can be done about the faults of this life, and nothing would be done about it. It drives its victims into depravity and scorns those who doubt it.

The faults of creation were great, far menacing for its children to escape. It seemed purpose rather became a question, than an answer to the actions of creation.

And it rose to be the sword that killed them like sheep at a slaughterhouse. All that was left, was desire. Desire to do what is good.

Loki had earned, but earning wasn't all he wanted. He wanted an end," the end" to suffering and pain.

So he rose from his sleep and grabbed every opportunity life gave him. His last task was the ring of Iksher, and it lay within the depths of the sea.

It was his hardest task yet, as it had been lost within the deep sea. A god of wind was nowhere near a habitat of water.

That was a task for the origin of water, and Loki had none of that. He stood in the air, above the raging currents of the Pacific, and looked down in despair.

There was only one way to end it, but it seemed nearly impossible to achieve. Tempering with the sea might attract the god residing within it.

And that would bring chaos to the men who fed from it. However, he brushed it off. His path to the end stood before him, and all that blocked his way was an old god.

" There wouldn't be any use of you in the new world.", He scorned.

The sea god may be powerful, but Loki was brimming with an irresistible urge for salvation. He wanted to be the savior of man, and a mere god was nothing more than an ant in his way.

Raising his palm, the winds of the Pacific adhered to his call. They raged around, pacing with a strong force.

The loins of the wind were steadfast within his grasp, engulfing the surface of the ocean with excessive pressure.

Loki pulled them with all his might, creating huge pressure from the banks of Hawaii. The wind pressure intensified, pushing the sea back with force.

Loki's eyes lit green, with his nerves pulsing in Nova. His hair grew longer, and an aura of authority rose around him.

The people at the banks of the sea ran at full pace, as they saw it like a hurricane. The sea had been pushed back into a curtain, and Loki descended gently on the seabed.

" As a coward you are, stay back if you value your life. Of all things I hate, it is God's I despise the most "

" Torturing the innocent, siding with the wicked. Engulfing cities with despair put off your surge of desire."

" Let the sea king know, that if he approaches me from the bottom of the sea, his corpse would be presented as a response. "

Shouts of terror and despair were heard all over. The tourists fled for their lives together with the locals, and the brave ones stood and recorded the large tsunami.

Displacing large volumes of the sea, the waves of air pressure travel across the sea reaching a speed of 600km/h with an increased height.

The sea continues pushing backward, increasing the tsunami higher with every wave. Loki smirks as he gently walks towards the moving curtain of water.

An abomination was a name worthy of him. The destruction a widespread wave could yield was suppressing, and Loki stood at the helms of it all.

The silent and serene atmosphere of the beach had now turned into a noisy and thundering one. Some humans fell and awaited their doom, as others said their goodbyes since they had fragile bodies.

The live stream of the tsunami was shown across platforms, and the leaders of each country prayed heavily.

It seemed like there was no end to the destruction that was piling to strike, but the noise had reached the god of the sea.

Poseidon was his name, and the origin of water was his Nova. As suppressing as his force was, the sea raged and a thunderous crackle was heard within.

" You dare call me a coward!! "

A tsunami is a series of large ocean waves typically caused by a sudden and powerful disturbance in the sea.As these waves approach shallower coastal waters, they slow down and increase in height, sometimes reaching tens of meters (over 100 feet) tall. I hope these help.
