บท 27: Leaving the Qin Family
Qin Churou employed her usual tactics, feigning frailty and innocence. People tend to sympathize with the weak, and she had mastered the art of exploiting this, deceiving many in the process. If Qin Sheng continued to be unyielding, she would appear aggressive and unreasonable.
Qin Churou calculated her moves meticulously, believing she could turn any situation to her advantage, regardless of Qin Sheng's reaction. If Qin Sheng refused to forgive her, she could use it as an opportunity to show this man Qin Sheng's true colors, driving him away from her. If Qin Sheng softened, she could leverage that kindness to draw closer to him.
But unfortunately for her, both Qin Sheng and Fu Hanchuan were not ones to follow the usual script.
Qin Sheng was about to retort with a cold sneer when Fu Hanchuan's icy voice cut through the air. "Since you care so much about Sheng Sheng's feelings, then leave the Qin family. Sheng Sheng despises you."
Qin Churou's face froze in utter disbelief. Weren't men supposed to be drawn to delicate, vulnerable women?
Fu Hanchuan glanced at his watch and then turned his gaze toward Qin Sheng. Whenever he looked at her, his face unknowingly softened with a hint of affection. "Sheng Sheng, it's getting late. Let me take you home."
Qin Sheng's lips curled slightly as she rose from her seat. "Qin Churou, constantly acting and living with a mask—aren't you tired?"
Qin Churou clenched her hands tightly. With Fu Hanchuan present, she maintained her fragile facade instead of revealing her twisted and spiteful true self. "Sister, do you have some misunderstanding about me?"
"I told you before, what doesn't belong to you will never be yours."
Even after Qin Sheng left, Qin Churou remained seated, her eyes burning with fury. How dare Qin Sheng mock her?
As long as she could get what she wanted, she was willing to play this role for a lifetime. Qin Sheng may be true to herself, but even her own biological parents disliked her.
And in front of that perfect man, Qin Sheng had the audacity to humiliate her.
If it weren't for Qin Sheng, why would he speak to her like that?
That man clearly noticed Qin Sheng's disdain for her, and to protect Qin Sheng's dignity, he said those words to make her look bad. It must have been Qin Sheng's doing!
Qin Churou bit her lip; she had to have that man. Never before had she felt her heart flutter at first sight.

Determined, Qin Churou began fantasizing about Fu Hanchuan peeling shrimp for her, speaking to her in a doting manner.
After returning to the Qin family estate, Qin Sheng continued working on her assignments. She had already taken on several large projects, all involving the creation or maintenance of security systems. The prices were not low; if the clients were satisfied, setting up a security system would earn her 400,000 yuan, while maintaining one would be half that price.
Though Qin Sheng was adept with computers, establishing or maintaining a security system was no simple task. Even for her, it required at least three hours, given her best efforts.
Last night, she had already completed one overnight, and the client had promptly made the payment. Now, she was handling her second big project, maintaining a security system, which only took her three hours.
Descending to the dining room for dinner, Qin Sheng met Qin Churou's provocative gaze.
Qin Sheng glanced at Qin Hai and Lin Shuying's expressions and a mocking smile tugged at her lips. It seemed Qin Churou had been stirring up trouble again.
She pulled out a chair and sat down, picking up a piece of green vegetable with her chopsticks.
Qin Hai set down his bowl and chopsticks, his tone stern. "I heard you were seen acting quite close with a man?"
Qin Sheng's appearance was exquisite, and Qin Hai had welcomed her back to the Qin family precisely because of her looks. He saw an opportunity for a strategic marriage alliance that could bring substantial benefits to the Qin family. Naturally, Qin Sheng's marriage had to be under his control.
Before that, no matter how plain or unremarkable Qin Sheng might be, the one thing that mattered was her purity. She couldn't be allowed to fool around with any man.
