In a dark voice, Zina said, "I see you accuse me of conspiring with the banished prince." 

"I would never do such a thing!" Lykom gasped dramatically, the dark sarcasm not exactly lost on her.

"Of course you would never do such a thing. After all, I am the very reason why the banished prince is titled so."

A silence stretched between them. Finally, Eldric broke the spell by clutching Zina's shoulders.

"Theta, your rise is my rise, and your fall is my fall, you know that don't you?"

Zina stiffened, the threat well understood.

"Of course, your majesty."

"The banished prince seems to have forgotten his Alpha King. I intend to send you to the GreenLands to remind him of who he serves."

Before Zina could process the meaning of his words, Lykom interjected.
