"H~hero!" I was about to say something to her but before I could the sound of footsteps in the silent room rang out.
"You are?" I glanced to the side seeing a young woman with brown hair that reached her lower back panting heavily.
"I~I'm the receptionist Maria" Maria bowed slightly before she held out her arm and gestured to the side.
"The guild master is waiting for you" She looked around the silent room with a gaze of disbelief and confusion before gazing back at me.
"Lead the way" I didn't want to be here anymore then I had to mainly due to what Ella and the duchess were wearing.
As we left the bar was still completely silent with most of the men staring in front of them not daring to look in this direction, And yet I still saw a couple bolder men who glanced at Ella and the Duchess from the side of their eyes savoring one last view of their supple bodies.
Maria led us to a quieter hall that was lined with doors on both sides. Most of the guilds had similar buildings or more specifically similar designs, Even in the capital where everything is as much more extravagant the guild kept close design's.
"The guild master is waiting" Maria moved to the Side as we reached a door slightly larger than the others and was lined with gold.
"Thank you" I gave my thanks to the receptionist who looked around my age and grabbed the knob turning it.
What greeted me was the inside of a large office like room that gave off a professional aura. To the left was a bookshelf that covered the entire wall while to the right was a fireplace which didn't seem to fit to the weather of this region, Just in front of me were two black leather couches and just beyond was a wooden desk that was piled with paper.
"Hero" My gaze landed on a tall woman with sharp eyes and a commanding presence who stood behind her desk.
"It's a pleasure to meet you" Her long black hair swayed as she bowed her head slightly with a hint of respect in her eyes.
"You as well duchess Alexis and the white knight" The guild master turned her eyes to my side landing on Ella and the Duchess and I noticed confusion appear in them as she saw their outfits.
"Yes it's nice to meet you as well" The duchess smiled slightly while Ella nodded toward her although it seemed that both of them noticed the questioning gaze in the women's eyes.
"Shall we get everything out of the way?" I suggested walking further into the room to one of the leather couch's taking a seat.
"Yes" The guild master nodded looking away from the pair with a face as if she was trying to mind her business.
"Two weeks ago a sighting of a powerful demon was reported to the guild" The guild master walked out from behind her desk while grabbing three folders.
"And they think it's a general?" I asked grabbing the folder from her hand before she gave one to Ella and the duchess as well.
"Yes we do" She nodded taking a seat across from us while crossing her legs.
"It's heading this way?" I questioned opening the folder and reading the surprisingly thorough information.
"From what we can predict yes it is" The guild masters words caused a tension to appear in the air around us.
"If that monster comes this way this entire city will be wiped out" She sighed heavily before fixing on me with a determined look.
"I understand" I nodded my mind already processing the implications of what such an event would mean for the continent.
'It would be the first city lost and the start of the real war' My muscles felt tense and yet I wasn't nervous nor did I feel fear.
"Give us all the information you have on this demon" The Duchess requested in my silence with a steady voice was just as calm as always.
"Actually" The guild master spoke suddenly before pointing at the folder that was grasped in my hand.
"If you wish for a detailed explanation you should ask the group of knights who first discovered it." She continued.
"Which group was it?" I asked not bothering to look up as I skimmed the document.
"The Order of the Crescent." As her words rang out I instantly I froze before looking up with wide eyes.
"The Order of the Crescent?" I echoed seeing the same surprise mirrored on Ella's and the Duchess's faces.
"Yes are you acquainted?" The guild master's surprise was evident in her tone as she tilted her head slightly.
"Yes" I said letting out a low sigh while feeling a mix of emotions.
The guild master's confusion seemed to deepen and she looked to the Duchess for any sort of clarification.
"I presume that the Golden Blade is still leading the Order of the Crescent?" the Duchess inquired with a small smile as if she already knew the answer.
"Yes she is" The guild master confirmed looking even more confused.
"The Golden Blade is the Hero's elder sister," the Duchess revealed causing the guild master's eyes to widen.
