Anastasia glared at Daniel, her frustration bubbling over like a pot left to boil. "Daniel, this isn't a joke!" she exclaimed, hands on her hips. "Bella needs our help!"

He flashed a playful grin, leaning back against the wall. "And what do you think I am? A superhero in disguise? I don't have my cape with me."

"Very funny," she shot back, rolling her eyes. "This is serious! We can't just sit here while she's out there…she might be in danger!"

Daniel stepped closer, the teasing in his eyes softening. "Okay, okay. I get it. But you know it's going to be a bit hard, right? What if we find her and she just tells us to buzz off?"

"Then I'll buzz off," Anastasia huffed. "But at least I'll know I tried!"

Daniel chuckled, running a hand through his hair. "You really care about her... Even after everything?"
