"Richard, which one is Alexander?"
On set, at the breakfast table, Gwyneth asked softly.
"That guy over there, the big one who keeps sneezing."
Richard pointed to a nearby table.
"Achoo~"
The muscular Alexander was wiping his nose with a tissue. When he noticed someone watching him, he casually glanced over and, upon seeing Gwyneth, immediately put down the tissue and tried to appear more composed.
"Haha, he's quite funny."
Gwyneth covered her mouth and laughed.
"He is funny. When I first joined the crew, he heard I was a boxer and wanted to challenge me. I said I didn't want to fight, but he insisted, so I had to go along with it.
I saw he was pretty sturdy, so I didn't hold back. Who knew that with one punch, he wobbled a bit and then fell to the ground with a thud."
"Hahaha~"
"When I saw him pass out, it scared me. Because he had been drinking, I couldn't wake him up. That night, I even carried him back. The next day, he had a stiff neck and kept complaining that I hit him too hard. Sometimes, I really want to punch him again and put him back to sleep."
Gwyneth covered her mouth, laughing so hard her face turned red.
——
"Hey, Andrew, look over there. Those two seem to be getting really close lately."
In the director's area, producer Copeson frowned.
"Isn't that a good thing?"
Director Davis glanced over and chuckled softly.
"It's only been a few days, and there are already rumors around the crew that the two are dating. What if it turns into a real relationship?"
Copeson frowned.
"So what? I think it's great. In the movie, David and Emily are a pair of lovers. If they really fall for each other, the chemistry will be fantastic."
Director Davis smiled.
"You can't just think about the filming. Gwyneth is a big star, and Richard is just a newcomer. If rumors spread about them, it won't be good for either of them. Plus, Richard has a girlfriend. Gwyneth should be informed about this."
"Wait, wait, wait!"
Director Davis grabbed his arm. "Don't spread it around just yet. Wait until we finish shooting their romantic scenes. By then, we'll be shooting the scenes where Emily discovers her husband and David plotting to kill her. Gwyneth's mood should match Emily's—heartbroken, disappointed, and in pain. Wow, that would be amazing!"
Director Davis pumped his fist in excitement.
"Is that really okay?"
Copeson frowned.
"There's nothing wrong with it."
Director Davis took a sip of water. "Besides, don't underestimate Gwyneth. She's not naive. With her ability, finding out about Richard's relationship status is easy. She probably already knows and just doesn't care. Young people's thoughts are different from ours, so Bill, let's not interfere."
"Alright, but we should control the rumors within the crew. It could affect our work."
"I agree with that."
Director Davis nodded and looked at Darius Woski, the head of the photography team. "Isn't there an assistant named Alexander in your team? I heard he likes to film everything and snoop around. Remind him to keep his mouth shut."
"I understand!"
Darius nodded, silently cursing Alexander for embarrassing their team again.
Achoo~ Achoo~
In the distance, someone sneezed twice.
Someone must be thinking about me.
——
After a few days, Richard and Gwyneth's relationship grew closer, and the shooting progressed smoothly. Initially, they shot one scene a day. Now, they were shooting three or four scenes a day, much faster than expected.
Director Davis was very pleased with this.
He was particularly satisfied with the collaboration between Richard and Gwyneth. They played a loving couple in the movie, with many intimate interactions. Such scenes require more than just acting skills; they need genuine chemistry, which Richard and Gwyneth had in abundance.
Additionally, Director Davis was impressed with Richard's performance. Despite being a complete newcomer with no acting experience, Richard had a sharp mind, boundless energy, a strong desire to perform, and exceptional mental resilience.
Mental resilience is crucial for an actor. Those with strong mental resilience can handle various challenges during filming, such as dealing with a hot-tempered director, repeated takes, difficult colleagues, low-empathy partners, and high-stakes scenes.
Based on his previous performances, Richard demonstrated he was such an actor with great potential.
"Richard, well done!"
After finishing a scene, Director Davis patted his shoulder.
"Thank you. I told you I wouldn't let you and Bill down."
Richard said confidently.
"Haha, don't get too cocky. Tomorrow, you'll be filming a bed scene with Gwyneth. Are you ready?"
"Of course!"
"Show me what you've got."
Director Davis lowered his voice. "You should rehearse with Gwyneth before the shoot."
"How…how do I rehearse that?"
"How would I know? You're the actor; acting is your job. I just give suggestions. Good luck!"
Director Davis winked and resumed organizing the crew.
"Scene 5, take 2, action!"
The shooting resumed. In a room set up as an art studio, Richard embraced Gwyneth, kissing her neck and speaking in a magnetic voice.
"Darling, do you know? By this time tomorrow, we might be in Belize."
"Belize?"
"Have you been there?"
Richard kissed her earlobe, his hand exploring.
"No~"
Gwyneth ran her hand through his hair, her breathing growing heavier.
"You'll experience immense pleasure there."
Richard whispered.
"I already feel that way now."
Gwyneth tilted her head back, a wide smile on her lips.
Behind the monitor, Director Davis watched their performance and nodded in satisfaction. This was just right, capturing the essence of passionate love.
Initially, Richard's intimate moves were too cautious, and Gwyneth was too nervous, making their interactions awkward and lacking in chemistry. But now that they were closer, their performances were more natural and enjoyable, both for them and the audience. This was real acting.
Were they actually involved?
Director Davis was curious. If Richard truly managed to win over Gwyneth, it would make for big news.
"Cut!"
"This scene is done. Prepare for the next one!"
