Chapter 1: Don't Touch that 'dile

(Mew and her friends have left the comfort of Pallet Town behind them.)

(Now they set their sights on a new goal.)

(Now, they're heading for New Bark Town so Mew can register to the Pokemon League.)

(As of now, all five friends are walking down the trail of a foggy forest.)

(Just then, Pikachu notices something.)

Pikachu: "Pika Pi!" (Mew!)

(Mew stops in her tracks.)

(Pikachu says.)

Pikachu: "Pika Pika." (Look up ahead.)

Mew: "What, Pikachu? Up ahead?"

(Mew says, confused.)

(Mew looks up to see a branch above them.)

Mew: "Yeah, that branch looks familiar,"

(Mew says.)

(This shocked Misty.)

Misty: "Mew! You mean…"

(Then Eevee says.)

Eevee: "Eevee Eevee," (We're lost again.)

Mew: "Yeah, Eevee. We're lost, again,"

(Mew says.)

(Misty collapses.)

Misty: "Now we've been walking around in circles all day! You said you knew where we were going and we're totally lost, now! Where do we go?!"

Mew: "Now's not the time to panic, Misty. Let me check the Pokenav,"

(Mew says, and brings out her Pokenav.)

Misty: "It's funny that you got that for your birthday and never used it yet."

(Misty says.)

Mew: "I suppose so,"

(Mew says.)

(Mew presses the button and sees the directions clearly.)

(Despite it being kind of foggy, she can see it.)

Misty: "So then, which way do we go?"

(Misty asks.)

Mew: "According to the map, we need to head forward, and make a left,"

(Mew says.)

Jen: "And we ended up going right before,"

(Jen says.)

Mew: "Well then, now that we know the way, we can find a way out of this forest,"

(Mew says.)

Brock: "The sooner we get out, the better,"

(Brock says.)

(Suddenly, something seems to catch Togepi and Pichu's senses.)

(They both leap out of Misty's arms and run after her.)

(Eevee, Pikachu, Meloetta, Skwovet, and Amaura follow after them.)

Mew: "Pikachu! Eevee!"

(Mew calls out, and runs after them.)

Tomo: "Meloetta! Skwovet!"

(Tomo does the same.)

(Jen follows.)

Jen: "Amaura, wait for us!"

(Mew is the first to reach the scene and is astonished.)

(to see a glowing blue figure of some creature standing on a rock pillar in the middle of the lake.)

(The rest of the gang approaches to see the glowing creature.)

Brock: "A Pokémon!"

(Brock says, surprised.)

Misty: "It's beautiful,"

(Misty says.)

Jen: "It sure is!"

(Jen says.)

(Then the Pokemon runs off.)

Mew: "Wait! Please don't run away! Come back!"

(Mew calls out and rushes after it.)

(Then Mew slips on the grass and slides down the edge.)

(Pikachu, Eevee, and the other Pokemon follow after them.)

(Everyone cries out.)

Everyone: "Mew!"

(And the gang slips and slides down the hill too, and crashes to the bottom.)

(Meanwhile, Team Rocket is lost and wandering around the fog as well.)

(Jessie says in defeat.)

Jessie: "We'll never find our way in this."

James: "This fog's as thick as pea soup,"

(James replies.)

Meowth: "Without the little hunks of ham,"

(Meowth adds.)

(Soon, the fog begins to lift, and everything is clear.)

(Jessie is the first to notice.)

Jessie: "It looks like it's finally lifted."

James: "Hot diggity dog!"

(James says in relief.)

(Then Meowth happily says.)

Meowth: "Let's go get lunch!"

(Soon, Team Rocket dashes ahead to find some food, but quickly runs out of breath.)

(Then Meowth notices something up ahead.)

Meowth: "What's that?"

(Jessie and James look up to see a red and light purple color building with multiple windows a short distance away.)

(There is also a brick fence surrounding the building.)

James: "It looks like a university,"

(James says.)

(But Meowth says.)

Meowth: "Or maybe even some kind of school.

(Jessie gets excited.)

Jessie: "Oh, if it is, it must have some kind of a cafeteria!"

(Soon, a flock of Fearow flies out of the trees, startling Team Rocket enough for them to run into the building.)

(They quickly enter the building and slam the door behind them, and are now sitting on the ground with exhaustion.)

Team Rocket: "This is for the birds,"

(Team Rocket comments.)

(Suddenly, they hear a voice of a man asking.)

the man: "Is that you, Nurse Joy?"

(Team Rocket cautiously lifts their heads.)

(and looks ahead to see a middle-aged man with short brown hair and gray eyes.)

(He wears a pair of glasses, as well as a white lab coat with two pockets and a collared teal shirt.)

(He also wears brown pants with a black belt and brown shoes.)

(He seems to be working on something with some machine.)

(The man says.)

The man: "Thanks for coming over on such short notice. I guess I should've called weeks ago, but I got caught up in my research project. You'll find the Pokémon we talked about running around the lab somewhere."

James: "Pokémon?"

(James says, quietly and confused.)

(The way the man is talking, he assumes Team Rocket is Nurse Joy, who's supposed to come today.)

(The man asks.)

The man: "Is there a problem, Nurse Joy?"

(Then Jessie begins to imitate Nurse Joy.)

Jessie: "Not a problem in the world."

James: "Jessie!"

(James panics.)

(Then Jessie grabs James in a headlock.)

Jessie: "Just be quiet! I'll handle this!"

(Then imitates Nurse Joy again.)

Jessie: "Well, now that Nurse Joy is here, what is it you'd like me to do for you?

The man: "What we talked about on the phone. A complete checkup for the Totodile,"

(The man says.)

Jessie and James: "Totodile?"

(Jessie and James reply, confused.)

(Meowth soon yells in pain, but Jessie and James quickly stifle him.)

(They soon look down to see a Pokemon, having Meowth's tail in its mouth.)

(Team Rocket flinches to see the Pokemon standing before them, and assume this is the Totodile.)

(The Totodile is a bipedal, crocodilian Pokémon with well-developed jaws.)

(It has red eyes with ridges above them, black markings around its eyes, and several sharp teeth.)

(On its chest is a yellow, V-shaped marking that extends to its arms; there is a thin line through the center of the marking.)

(Totodile has five fingers and three toes.)

(Down its back is a row of three red spines with a small, red ridge on either side.)

(The tip of its tail has a single red spine as well.)

Totodile: "Totodile,"

(The Pokemon says.)

(And then Totodile sprays James in the face with Water Gun, and now he's soaked.)

(Jessie continues with her act.)

Jessie: "Oh, silly me! Now how could I have forgotten that?"

(She then quickly grabs her Teammates and the Pokemon.)

Jessie: "I'll take it right over to the Pokémon Center. Bye-bye."

(and quickly leaves the building.)

The man: "Thanks, Nurse Joy. Great to see ya,"

(The man says, and he hasn't noticed a thing.)

(Meanwhile, Mew and the others are exhausted after their little tumble, and finally make it out of the forest.)

Misty: "I don't think I can go much further,"

(Misty says with exhaustion.)

Brock: "Me neither,"

(Brock agrees.)

(Soon, they stop to notice a road sign.)

(Mew looks at the sign and says.)

Mew: "Hey! Look what that sign says!"

Misty: "New Bark Town!"

(Misty says.)

Pikachu: "Pika!" (At last!)

(Pikachu cheers.)

Eevee: "Eevee!" (We made it!)

(Eevee happily says.)

Mew: "Alright!"

(Mew cheers.)

Tomo and Jen: "Yay!"

(Tomo and Jen cheers.)

(Then Misty says.)

Misty: "Mew, maybe we'll see another one of those Pokémon we saw in the woods."

Mew: "Hey, yeah,"

(Mew says.)

(Mew then thinks back to the glowing Pokemon.)

(Brock then reads the sign.)

Brock: "New Bark Town. This way to The Town Where the Winds of New Beginnings Blow."

(Then Brock grows excited.)

Brock: "Yes! Our next adventure starts right here!"

(Mew looks over the horizon and says in her thoughts.)

Mew [in mind]: "Where Winds of New Beginnings Blow. New Pokemon. New adventures. New people to see. And a new journey to get to the Johto League Match."

(She then says with determination.)

Mew: "I'm ready."

Jen: "What do you think she's ready for, Brock?"

(Jen asks, confused.)

(Then Brock says.)

Brock: "She's ready to overcome every obstacle to achieve her ultimate destiny. To become a Pokémon Master."

Misty: "Oh, that,"

(Misty says, sweating drop.)

Mew: "The journey starts right now, gang! Look out, Johto League, we're on our way!"

(Mew cheers.)

(Pikachu and Eevee cheer as well.)

(Then Brock says.)

Brock: "Hold on Mew, you can't go to the Johto League until you're registered!"

Mew: "Oh right,"

(Mew says.)

Mew: "Alright then, we'll go to the Pokemon Center to register and then we start heading to the Johto League,"

(Mew says.)

Brock: "Right. Come on,"

(Brock says.)

Tomo: "Let's go,"

(Tomo says.)

(And with that, everyone begins to make their way to the Pokemon Center now Mew can register for the Johto League.)

Misty: "I bet there's a Nurse Joy in charge of this Pokémon Center, too,"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "I wouldn't be surprised,"

(Mew says.)

(Brock walks with his cheeks blushing and with a smile on his face.)

(Soon, Mew and the others arrive at the Pokemon Center.

(Brock raches to the front desk and calls out.)

Brock: "Oh, Nurse Joy!"

(But instead of Nurse Joy, Chansey pops up.)

Brock: "Chansey, you're not Nurse Joy,"

(Brock says.)

(Chansey presses the button on the front desk.)

(and a screen with Nurse Joy comes down and turns on.)

Nurse Joy: "Welcome, all trainers. I'm Nurse Joy,"

(Nurse Joy says.)

Brock: "There she is,"

(Brock says, happily.)

(Confused, Misty says.)

Misty: "That's funny."

Tomo: "Why is she on TV?"

(Tomo asks.)

(On the screen, Nurse Joy continues.)

Nurse Joy: "I'm over at the Elm Laboratory right now and I'm sorry I'm not here to help you, but I'll be back at the Pokémon Center at no later than two o'clock this afternoon."

Jen: "Guess we gotta wait,"

(Jen says.)

Misty: "Didn't she say two?"

(Misty asks.)

(Mew and the others look at the clock to see that it's way past two o' clock.)

Mew: "It's already three thirty,"

(Mew points out.)

Misty: "May as well sit down,"

(Misty says.)

(Misty, Jen, and Tomo sit down.)

Mew: "Must be running late,"

(Mew says.)

(But Brock rushes to them and shouts in a panic.)

Brock: "We can't just hang around here and hope everything's okay! Don't you understand?! Nurse Joy might be in some kind of terrible danger! Let's go find her!"

(Everyone looks at Brock with dumbfounded expressions.)

Mew: "Whatever you say, Brock,"

(Mew says.)

(Soon enough, the gang arrives at the Elm Lab, but finds the police are on the scene.)

Misty: "Wonder what's going on here?"

(Misty wonders.)

(Then Jen asks.)

Jen: "Do you think something happened?"

(Then Mew notices.)

Mew: "Hey, Nurse Joy's not the only familiar face in town."

(Brock turns to see who it is and his face turns red.)

Brock: "I can't believe it's her!"

(And rushes over to Officer Jenny with a large bouquet of flowers.)

Brock: "Hello, Officer Jenny! I'm Brock, and I'd like to present you with a small token of my admiration. Perhaps you'd like to get together this evening for a nice, quiet…"

(And with that, Misty pulls Brock away from Officer Jenny.)

Misty: "I better haul you off before she does."

(Mew walks over and asks.)

Mew: "Excuse me, Officer Jenny, could you please tell us where we could find the lab of Professor Elm?"

Officer Jenny: "We happen to be standing right in front of it,"

(Officer Jenny answers.)

(Then Brock quickly rushes back.)

Brock: "Looks like trouble! Don't worry, Officer Jenny, just leave this to me!"

(And dashes towards the lab.)

(Mew calls out and follows him.)

Mew: "Brock, wait a second!"

Misty: "Hey!"

(Misty calls out.)

Jen: "Wait for us, Brock!"

(Jen calls out.)

Tomo: "Wait up!"

(Tomo calls you.)

(The others rush to the building.)

(Officer Jenny cries out.)

Officer Jenny: "You can't go in there!

(Inside the Lab, Nurse Joy and the professor himself, Professor Elm, feel very guilty over what has happened.)

(With a lot of guilt, Professor Elm says.)

Professor Elm: "It's all my fault. I should've been paying attention."

Nurse Joy: "Well, maybe if you got out of this lab once in a while, you'd start to notice what's going on around you. Now what are you gonna tell that new trainer when she comes to pick up her Totodile?"

(Nurse Joy sternly says.)

Professor Elm: "I'm so sorry, but I was observing a very unusual cell division,"

(Professor Elm says.)

(Nurse Joy then scolds him.)

Nurse Joy: "Stop making excuses for yourself, Professor!"

(Soon, Brock rushes into the scene.)

Brock: "Have no fear, Brock is here! And, may I say, you're looking lovely."

(Misty then gets between them.)

Misty: "Hey! Save it, Romeo! We don't have time for mushy stuff!"

(Confused, Nurse Joy asks.)

Nurse Joy: "Could someone tell me what's going on here?"

Mew: "Sure. You see, Nurse…"

(Mew says, about to explain.)

(But Officer Jenny interrupts her.)

Officer Jenny: "You kids can't just come barging in here in the middle of an official police investigation!"

Jen: "Investigation?"

(Jen says, confused.)

Nurse Joy: "That being someone has stolen a Pokémon,"

(Nurse Joy sadly says.)

(The group asks in shock.)

Everyone: "Stolen a Pokémon?!"

(Officer Jenny explains.)

Officer Jenny: "A new trainer's very first Pokémon is gone. That poor girl. That poor Totodile."

Everyone: "Totodile?"

(The group says, confused.)

(Even the Pokemon wonder.)

All Pokemon: (Totodile?)

Professor Elm: "You see, I was supposed to give this Totodile and this Cyndaquil to two new Pokémon trainers tomorrow,"

(Professor Elm says, holding another Pokemon in his arms.)

(The Pokemon is a Cyndaquil.)

(small, bipedal mammalian Pokémon with bluish fur on top of its body and cream-colored fur on its underside.)

(Its eyes are usually seen closed, and it has a long, thin snout.)

(Its arms are short, but its legs are slightly more developed and have a single nail on each foot.)

(On its back are four red circles that can erupt into flames.)

(When the flames are burning, its back seems to be covered in spines.)

(Everyone looks at the Pokemon in amazement.)

Mew: "Hey, look at that!"

(Mew says.)

Brock: "It's a Cyndaquil!"

(Brock says.)

Tomo: "Looks cool,"

(Tomo says.)

Misty: "It's so cute!"

(Misty says.)

Jen: "It's adorable!"

(Jen says.)

(Suddenly, the Cyndaquil shoots out fire from it's back in excitement, startling the group.)

(Professor Elm reassures them.)

Professor Elm: "Don't be alarmed, this is normal behavior."

(Then says.)

Professor Elm: "Maybe I should explain things more fully. New Bark trainers get to choose one of three."

(He pulls out a picture of a small, pale-green, quadrupedal Pokémon with dark-green buds around its neck.)

(Its head is large in proportion to the rest of its body, and it has big red eyes.)

(Chikorita has four short legs with a single nailed toe on each and a stubby tail.)

(On top of its head is a large, green leaf that is usually longer than its body.)

(The Professor Elm says.)

Professor Elm: "A Chikorita, a new trainer, just picked this one up the other day. It's a grass type. Or they can pick a Cyndaquil, which is a fire type."

(And then pulls out the other picture.)

Professor Elm: "Or they can have a Totodile, which is a water type."

Misty: "A water type! I'd pick that one!"

(Misty says, excited.)

(Then Mew says.)

Mew: "New Pokémon trainers back home get to pick a Charmander, or a Squirtle, or a Bulbasaur. But I got Pikachu. And Eevee has been my pal since before I started on my journey."

Professor Elm: "Well, if those were the Pokémon you had to choose from, I'd say you must come from Pallet Town,"

(Professor Elm says.)

Mew: "Yeah, that's right. And I'm here to register for the Johto League,"

(Mew says.)

(Then Professor Elm says.)

Professor Elm: "So I suppose you know Professor Samuel Oak."

Mew: "Professor Oak gave me Pikachu and he's a good friend of ours. I've even stayed at his for a few years,"

(Mew says.)

Brock: "Yeah, he sure is a great person,"

(Brock says.)

(Then Tomo asks.)

Tomo: "Have you ever met him yourself, Professor Elm?"

(Determined, Professor Elm explains.)

Professor Elm: "Of course I know Professor Oak! I was his top student. I remember the first paper I submitted to him at the university. A brilliant analysis of the hyperdized communicative faculties of Pokémon! A truly groundbreaking work! Professor Oak gave me only an A minus because he failed to recognize the genius of my thesis."

(As professor Elm talks, Nurse Joy takes Cyndaquil out of his hands.)

(Brock simply listens to Professor Elm.)

(as Mew and the others have their attention on Cyndaquil as Misty tickles it.)

Misty: "That tickles, huh?"

(Misty says, and giggles.)

(Mew giggles and says.)

Mew: "He's so cute."

Nurse Joy: "I know that sometimes Professor Elm may sound like a hot-head, but he's really very sweet and he raises wonderful Pokémon,"

(Nurse Joy says.)

Jen: "Yeah,"

(Jen says.)

(Professor Elm continues.)

Professor Elm: "And though I admire and respect Professor Oak's scientific achievements, I am forced to consider him my personal enemy!"

Misty: "Wow. Professor Elm sure can talk,"

(Misty says.)

(Professor Elm continues.)

Professor Elm: "As you can see from my published works, I focus my studies on unusual Pokémon abilities, which I find infinitely more interesting than Professor Oak's research, which concentrates on Pokémon and their human relationships, because I…"

Nurse Joy: "Sometimes, I wish Professor Elm would be a little more like Professor Oak, and do some research in the area of human relationships, too,"

(Nurse Joy replies.)

(Mew then walks to Nurse Joy and says.)

Mew: "Nurse Joy, the reason we came looking for you is cause I want to sign up for the Johto League."

Nurse Joy: "Oh, I'm so sorry! I was supposed to be back at the Pokémon Center by two, but when I got to the lab, I lost track of time,"

(Nurse Joy says.)

Misty: "We just feel bad for the new trainer who's supposed to get that Totodile tomorrow,"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "Yeah, I remember I was excited to officially become a Pokemon trainer. Eevee and decided to get to sleep early so we can wake up early to get started,"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "That definitely sounds like you,"

(Misty says.)

(Mew giggles and says.)

Mew: "Anyway, I'm just saying I know what it's like to look forward to the day when you finally get your first Pokémon. That's why I'll do whatever I can to help you track down the Pokémon thief and bring back that Totodile."

Misty: "We'll all help find it, Nurse Joy!"

(Misty agrees.)

Jen: "Yeah. We'll help,"

(Jen says.)

(Just then, a police officer calls out.)

police officer: "Officer Jenny!"

(Then the officer rushes to them.)

police officer: "We didn't find any fingerprints, but we made a plaster cast of some suspicious footprints we found behind the lab."

(And shows them the cast of the footprints.)

(Everyone looks to see the two footprints and a paw print.)

Mew: "Hmm, that paw print looks like a Meowth print. And the footprint looks like it's from a man and a woman,"

(Mew says.)

Tomo: "A Meowth Print?"

(Tomo says, confused.)

Mew: "Yeah. And I have an idea who took that Totodile,"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "You do?"

(Misty asks.)

Mew: "Think of it. Which group do we know has a man, a woman, a Meowth and are known for stealing Pokemon?"

(Mew says.)

(The group think for a bit and soon come to the same conclusion.)

Everyone: "Team Rocket!"

(Speaking of Team Rocket, meanwhile...)

(Jessie screams.)

Jessie: "Help! Let go! Get out of my hair, you filthy little jinx! Meowth, get this disgusting thing off me! Hurry!"

(Totodile has grabbed a hold of Jessie's hair with its mouth.)

(She is practically running away screaming, with James and Meowth following after her.)

Meowth: "That Totodile's really attached to you!"

(Meowth says.)

(Then James says.)

James: "Just make sure it doesn't go to your head!"

(Meowth laughs.)

Meowth: "That's a good one, Jimmy!"

James: "Thanks,"

(James says.)

(Sometime later, Eevee, Pikachu, and Officer Jenny's Growlithe are on the train as Mew and the others follow.)

Jen: "Where's Growlithe taking us?"

(Jen asks.)

Officer Jenny: "To the Pokémon thieves, I hope. Growlithe is following the scent they picked up from those footprints to find that stolen Totodile,"

(Officer Jenny says.)

(Meanwhile, Team Rocket has stopped for a break, after all the running.)

Jessie: "This thing's becoming a big headache!"

(Jessie says.)

James: "Jessie, just think of it as a Pokémon hair extension,"

(James replies.)

(Jessie atoms on the ground with rage.)

Jessie: "I DON'T FIND THIS FUNNY!"

(And glares at the Pokemon in her hair.)

Jessie: "My hair is gonna come out of the roots if this doesn't let go of me!"

(as she tries to swing the Totodile off.)

(Meowth walks to the phone booth as he says.)

Meowth: "I'm calling the boss to tell him we got ahold of a new Pokémon, or it got ahold of you."

(But the door closes in Meowth's face all of the sudden, knocking him back.)

(Meowth stands up and angrily asks.)

Meowth: "What was that for?!"

(The one who has closed the door is Jessie.)

(And Jessie says.)

Jessie: "I know how you operate, Meowth, and if you make the call, you'll take all the credit."

Meowth: "I don't think I like the implication of your accusation!"

(Meowth angrily says.)

(And remembers the times they've been blasting off.)

Meowth: "Is it too much to ask after enough humiliation to last nine lives for me to call the boss to bear him these good tidings?"

(And continues to retaliate.)

Meowth: "I may be a Pokémon, but for your information, I've still got feelings and I wanna make that call!"

(Jessie refuses.)

Jessie: "Let me remind you that I took all the risk in stealing this thing, so I should get the reward! Now, I'm telling you to get out of my hair and let me make that phone call!"

(As Meowth and Jessie argue, James walks into the phone booth himself and prepares to make the call to their boss.)

(Meowth angrily shouts.)

Meowth: "I ain't in your hair! That's the Totodile, and it's obviously putting a big strain on your brain!"

Jessie: "At least I have a brain, you halfwit!"

(Jessie angrily says.)

(Meowth angrily shouts.)

Meowth: "Half a wit is better than none!

Jessie: "How dare you!"

(Jessie screams and starts beating up Meowth.)

(James inserts the coin into the phone and plans to make the call.)

(However, he realizes something.)

(Jessie and Meowth stop fighting to notice James in the booth trying to make the call.)

(James turns to the others and asks.)

James: "By any chance, do either of you remember the boss' area code?"

(Jessie and Meowth stumble in disbelief.)

(Then drags James out and starts beating him up for trying to call the boss before they could.)

(Totodile simply smiles while having a bite in Jessie's hair, not a care in the world.)

(They soon stop to hear Growlithe barking.)

(Then Mew and the others, including Officer Jenny, arrive.)

Jen: "It's Team Rocket!"

(Jen calls out.)

Mew: "I knew it!"

(Mew says.)

(Team Rocket says in surprise.)

Team Rocket: "The twerp again!"

Tomo: "We should've known it was you three all along!"

(Tomo says.)

(Then Officer Jenny brings out her cuffs.)

Officer Jenny: "I'm placing all three of you under arrest for stealing that Totodile from Professor Elm's lab!"

(And with that, Team Rocket performs their motto.)

Jessie: Prepare for trouble. You can't take us in!

James: Make that double. We'll fight and we'll win!

Jessie: To protect the world from devastation.

James: To unite all peoples within our nation.

Jessie: To denounce the evils of truth and love!

James: To extend our reach to the stars above!

Jessie: Jessie!

James: James!

Jessie: Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light.

James: Surrender now, or prepare to fight, fight, fight!

Meowth: Meowth! That's right!

(Baffled Officer Jenny asks.)

Officer Jenny: "Could you repeat that?"

(Team Rocket stumbles in disbelief.)

Jessie: "Listen, you!"

(Jessie angrily says.)

(Then swings her hair around, to shake off Totodile, but it still refuses to let go.)

(Then Jessie says.)

Jessie: "It just so happens that this Totodile and I are inseparable!"

(Mew steps forward and says.)

Mew: "That Totodile's supposed to be the first Pokémon a new trainer thinks she's coming to pick up tomorrow! It belongs to her! Now, doesn't your conscience bother you, even a little?"

James: "My conscience does bother me a bit,"

(James replies.)

(But Meowth says.)

Meowth: "Well, not me! I'm unconscious!"

Jessie: "I suppose my conscience would bother me if Team Rocket didn't go by a somewhat different ethical standard,"

(Jessie says.)

(Then Meowth says.)

Meowth: "Finders keepers, losers weepers!"

(Team Rocket then dashes off, hoping to escape.)

Mew: "We'll see about that! I choose you, Bulbasaur!"

(Mew says, and throws her Pokeball.)

(And Bulbasaur comes out of the Pokeball.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Bulbasaur, use your Vine Whip, now!"

Bulbasaur: "Saur," (You got it!)

(Bulbasaur says.)

(Bulbasaur uses his Vine Whip and trips Meowth, causing Jessie and James to stumble and fall behind.)

(Then another vine heard towards them.)

(James then throws his Pokeball.)

James: "Okay. Weezing, I choose you!"

(And Weezing comes out of the Pokeball.)

(James calls out.)

James: "Smokescreen attack!"

(Weezing performs Smokescreen, blinding Bulbasaur.)

(Mew then throws her next Pokeball.)

Mew: "I choose you, Charizard! Blow away that Smokescreen!"

(Charizard comes out of the Pokeball, and blows the wind away with four flaps of its wings, allowing Bulbasaur to see.)

(With a clear chance, Bulbasaur grabs Totodile with its vine, and pulls.)

(However, Jessie screams because Bulbasaur is pulling her hair as well.)

(After tough pulling, Totodile lets go of her hair, and lands in Mew's arms.)

(Mew reassures Totodile.)

Mew: "Don't worry, Totodile, I got you."

(Jessie looks at her hair and says.)

Jessie: "Oh, just look at these horrible split hairs."

(Then Meowth scratches Jessie in her face.)

Meowth: "If we lose that Totodile, the boss will have us scalped!"

(Jessie then grabs Meowth.)

Jessie: "Get off me, you fur ball!"

Officer Jenny: "Alright, Growlithe, get in there and apprehend those three Pokémon thieves!"

(Officer Jenny calls out.)

(Jessie and Meowth stop bickering to see and hear Growlithe charging at them.)

(Then James calls out.)

James: "Weezing, Sludge attack them, now!"

(Weezing fires the Sludge attack, and splatters Growlithe on the face.)

(Growlithe tries to shake the Sludge off its face.)

(Officer Jenny cries out.)

Officer Jenny: "Growlithe!"

Jessie: "Quick, James, while we have the advantage!"

(Jessie says.)

(Then James throws his next Pokeball.)

James: "This calls for a Victreebel Vine Whip attack!"

(But Victreebel comes out and munches on James' head again.)

(James screams.)

James: "Hey! Let go, Victreebel!"

(Jessie shrugs her shoulders and says.)

Jessie: "I choose you, Lickitung!"

(And throws her Pokeball, and comes out.)

(Then Mew throws her other Pokeball.)

Mew: "Quick, Squirtle, use your Water Gun attack!"

(Squirtle comes out and fires a Water Gun, knocking Lickitung back.)

(Then Jessie calls out.)

Jessie: "Attack them!"

(Weezing, Victreebel, and Lickitung charge at once, as Arbok is also called out of the Pokeball to join them.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Okay, everybody, let em have it!"

(Pikachu performs Thunderbolt.)

(Eevee performs Swift Attack.)

(Charizard performs Flamethrower.)

(Bulbasaur launches Razor Leaf.)

(Squirtle launches a Water Gun.)

(All the attacks combined into one powerful attack, and strike at Team Rocket's Pokemon.)

(That sends them all blasting off.)

(Jen waves and calls out.)

Jen: "Bye-bye!"

(That leaves Team Rocket petrified as the five Pokemon glare at them.)

Jessie: "I think we're about to have a blast,"

(Jessie nervously says.)

(Totodile walks in and performs Water Gun, and blasts them off as well.)

Meowth: "What do we tell the boss, now?!"

(Meowth asks.)

Jessie: "You can make the call this time, Meowth, and you can give him the same message we always have to give him!"

(Jessie answers.)

(Then Team Rocket screams.)

Team Rocket: "Team Rocket's messed things up again!"

(And are blasting off again.)

(Mew picks up Totodile.)

Mew: "That was great work, Totodile."

Officer Jenny: "Well, no arrests,"

(Officer Jenny says.)

(Then Brock appears in front of Officer Jenny with love in his eyes, again.)

Brock: "You can take me into custody."

(leaving Officer Jenny confused.)

(Misty then pulls Brock away.)

Misty: "Come on, lover boy! What you need is solitary confinement!"

(Mew then hands Totodile to Officer Jenny.)

Mew: "Glad to help, Officer."

Officer Jenny: "Thanks to you, a new Pokémon trainer's going to be very happy,"

(Officer Jenny says and takes the Pokemon in her arms.)

Mew: "And now I can finally go get registered for the Johto League,"

(Mew happily says.)

(Later on, at Professor Oak's lab, the professor gets a call.)

(Professor Oak complains.)

Professor Oak: "Someone always calls during my soap operas!"

(Then the screen comes up and Mew and the others answer.)

Mew: "Hello there, Professor Oak. How are you doing?"

(Mew replies.)

Professor Oak: "I'm doing just fine,"

(Professor Oak says.)

Mew: "We finally made it to New Bark Town,"

(Mew says.)

Professor Oak: "That's excellent news,"

(Professor Oak says.)

(Then asks.)

Professor Oak: "Are you and registered, Mew?" "

Mew: "Not yet, but we ran into an old student of yours,"

(Mew says.)

(And Professor Elm comes in.)

Professor Elm: "Remember me, Professor?"

Professor Oak: "Yes, Professor Elm,"

(Professor Oak says.)

(Then Professor Elm says.)

Professor Elm: "I want you to know that Mew was a tremendous help to me and everyone at my lab today. She's certainly done an outstanding job of training her Pokémon. Of course, I expect great skill from someone trained by superb teachers like yourself."

Professor Oak: "Mew certainly deserves your praise, but I'm afraid you flatter me,"

(Professor Oak replies.)

(Then Professor Elm says.)

Professor Elm: "Now that I'm responsible for sending new trainers out just like you are Professor, I'm going to make it my goal to do a better job than you do. I mean, just as good a job as you."

(As professor Elm talks, Mew and the others take a seat and let out a sigh.)

Misty: "They could be on for hours,"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "Next time, I'll remember to reverse the charges,"

(Mew says.)

(Then they hear Professor Elm say.)

Professor Elm: "I was able to answer some of the questions that seemed to stump you when you spoke at the last meeting of the Pokémon Symposium."

(As Elm talks, Totodile heads towards the door, and the group notices.)

(Then Nurse Joys stops in front of Totodile and picks it up.)

Brock: "Hey, Nurse Joy,"

(Brock says.)

Nurse Joy: "Where did Professor Elm go?"

(Nurse Joy asks.)

Misty: "I think he got a little distracted again,"

(Misty answers.)

Tomo: "Yeah!"

(Tomo says.)

(The group turns to see Elm continuing talking to Professor Oak.)

Professor Elm: "Before I explain my theory Professor, I think I should take just a moment to give you a bit of background first."

Nurse Joy: "He'll be a while,"

(Nurse Joy replies.)

(Then says.)

Nurse Joy: "In the meantime, let's do what you came here to do and get you registered and approved for the Johto League."

Mew: "Great!"

(Mew says with a nod.)

(Soon, Mew places her Pokedex in the slot to get herself registered.)

(Then Nurse Joy types on the computer to prepare the registration.)

(The computer announces.)

The computer: "Mew of Pallet Town."

(Soon the download is complete.)

The computer: "Welcome to the Johto League."

Nurse Joy: "Congratulations, Mew. You're now fully qualified and approved to become an official participant in the Johto League,"

(Nurse Joy says, and hands Mew her Pokedex back.)

(Mew takes the Pokedex.)

Mew: "Great. Thanks, Nurse Joy."

Nurse Joy: "You'll both need a copy of Johto League guidebook, so make sure you don't lose them,"

(Nurse Joy says, and hands Mew the book.)

Mew: "Okay,"

(Mew says.)

(But Brock snatches it.)

Brock: "I'll hold it close to my heart, which is just where I hold you."

(Then Misty asks.)

Misty: "How many badges do Mew have to win in this league?

Nurse Joy: "Once she earns eight badges, she'll be qualified to enter and participate in the Johto Championship. I'd say the best place to start is the Violet Gym in Violet City,"

(Nurse Joy answers.)

Mew: "Then, that's where we'll go,"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "It sounds like a real colorful place,"

(Misty says.)

Brock: "Yeah, you can battle for your first badge there and catch up with Gary Oak,"

(Brock says.)

Mew: "Yeah,"

(Mew says.)

(All the Pokemon cheer with excitement.)

Tomo: "I can't wait to get there,"

(Tomo says.)

Jen: "Me too,"

(Jen says.)

Mew: "Well everyone, time to head off to Violet City,"

(Mew says.)

(Later, Mew and her friends leave Professor Elm's lab as Professor Elm, Officer Jenny, and Nurse Joy say their goodbyes.)

(Officer Jenny calls out.)

Officer Jenny: "Good luck in the Johto League!"

Nurse Joy: "Remember, you can always stop in at a Pokémon Center if you run into any trouble!"

(Nurse Joy says.)

Professor Elm: "And thanks again for rescuing Totodile, Mew!"

(Professor Elm calls out.)

(Then looks at Totodile.)

Professor Elm: "Tomorrow morning, you'll get to meet your new trainer, Totodile. And I have a feeling that you two will become best friends, just like Pikachu, Eevee, and Mew are."

(Mew and her friends continue to walk down the road and their Journey across the Johto Region has begun.)

(They are happy in the knowledge that a new trainer will soon begin her Pokémon journey.)

(And with the winds of new beginnings at their backs, they look forward to the Johto League.)
