Chapter 36: The Holiday Hi-Jynx

(One night, in a large building that looks like a castle.)

(where it's cold and the floor is covered in snow as it falls from the sky.)

(Jessie is fast asleep in one of the guest rooms.)

(The room is decorated with colorful decorations.)

(and a pine tree with colorful decorations like streamers, ornaments, and other decorations.)

(Jessie soon talks in her sleep.)

Jessie: "To protect the world from devastation. Hurry up and get here, Santa."

(Suddenly, someone enters the room through the window.)

(and it's someone dressed in a red outfit and black boots.)

(When the being steps in the room, a net springs from under hum and is caught like the catch of the day.)

(Meowth jumps out.)

Meowth: "We got him!"

Jessie: "Merry Christmas, Santa Claus!"

(Jessie says.)

(Soon, Jessie and Meowth cheer.)

Jessie and Meowth: "Our Santa trap worked!"

Jessie: "We did it!" Jessie laughs.

(And laughs in triumph.)

Jessie: "Now we'll get to keep everyone's presents!"

Meowth: "I told you this was foolproof,"

(Meowth says.)

Jessie: "And now all we have to do is wait for the real Santa to fall into our trap,"

(Jessie says and lets out a chuckle.)

(Trapped in the net, the one dressed as Santa is James in a costume.)

James: "I feel just like a Guinea Pig in a gunny sack!"

Jessie: "Now that we tried the trap, we can trust it to trick that trickster!"

(Jessie says.)

(Confused, Meowth asks.)

Meowth: "Santa Claus is a trickster?"

Jessie: "I saw with my own eyes that he's a trickster and a thief. Ten Christmases ago, a sweet, innocent, beautiful little girl waited for Santa,"

(Jessie says.)

Meowth: "What was her name?"

(Meowth asks.)

(Jessie angrily says.)

Jessie: "It was me!"

Meowth: "Oh,"

(Meowth replies.)

(Jessie explains how when Jessie is a little girl, she sees Santa Clause with her own eyes.)

(However, sees a Jynx that is wearing a Santa hat and having a bag of toys.)

(And the Jynx takes her broken toy away and up the chimney and leaves the scene, and Jessie witnessed the entire thing.)

Jessie: "I saw it with my very own eyes! Santa Claus is a Jynx!"

(Jessie says.)

(Confused, James says.)

James: "That's funny. Santa never stole any of my toys."

Meowth: "Sounds screwy to me. Maybe it was a sugar plum dancing in your head,"

(Meowth says.)

(Jessie angrily shouts.)

Jessie: "Don't call me screwy, you fur ball! I know what I saw, and Santa's a Jynx!"

(Meanwhile, Mew and her friends are walking along a beach.)

(And Tomo has a question.)

Tomo: "What's Christmas?"

Misty: "It's a fun holiday that comes once a year. We decorate a pine tree with lights, colorful decorations. We sing carols, play in the snow, get presents and spend time with family,"

(Misty says.)

(Tomo asks.)

Tomo: "We family?"

Mew: "Well, we are in a way. A family of friends,"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "And since I know you've been good, you'll get presents from Santa Claus,"

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "Santa who?"

(Tomo asks.)

Brock: "He's someone who travels the world and delivers presents to good boys and girls,"

(Brock says.)

Tomo: "Tomo is good,"

(Tomo happily says.)

(Suddenly Eevee notices something.)

Eevee: "Eevee?" (What's that?)

(Mew and the others notice this themselves.)

(What they see is a Pokemon holding a black boot.)

(It's a bipedal, humanoid Pokémon that resembles a woman.)

(It has a purple face, pink lips, saucer-like eyes, and long blonde hair.)

(It wears a red gown with two gold circlets on the chest.)

(It has white arms and five-fingered purple hands.)

(The Pokemon looks very sad and tears begin to fall from its face.)

Mew: "It's a Pokemon,"

(Mew says.)

(Brock turns to Mew.)

Brock: "Mew, see what Dexter has to say."

(Mew takes out her Pokedex and Dexter says.)

Dexter: "Jynx, the Human Shape Pokemon. And Ice and Psychic Type. This Pokemon has some very unusual powers. Its special attack is the Lovely Kiss, which puts its opponent into a deep sleep."

Brock: "What's a Jynx doing on the beach?"

(Brock wonders.)

Misty: "I wonder why it's holding a boot?"

(Misty replies.)

Mew: "It looks sad,"

(Mew adds.)

Tomo: "Jynx does look sad,"

(Tomo adds.)

(She leaves from her seat and walks over to see the Jynx.)

(Jynx turns her head to see Mew walking towards her.)

(Mew asks.)

Mew: "What's wrong, Jynx? Why are you looking sad?"

Jynx: "Jynx Jynx," (I'm lost.)

(Jynx says.)

Mew: "You're lost?"

(Mew translates.)

Jynx: "Jynx Jynx Jynx Jynx Jynx," (And I need to give this boot back to him, right away)

(Jynx says.)

Mew: "That boot belongs to your trainer?"

(Mew says, confused.)

(And Jynx nods her head in reply.)

(Jynx then hands Misty the boot.)

(Misty says.)

Misty: "Let me see."

(When she looks inside, Misty is shocked.)

Misty: "It can't be!"

Mew: "What can't be?"

(Mew asks.)

Misty: "I think this boot belongs to Santa Claus!"

(Misty says.)

Brock: "To Santa Claus?"

(Brock says, confused.)

Mew: "Are you sure?"

(Mew asks.)

Misty: "Just look inside!"

(Misty says.)

(The group looks inside to see a picture of old St. Nick inside.)

Misty: "It's got his picture right there!"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "You're right!"

(Mew says.)

Brock: "Maybe this Jynx got separated from its trainer and that trainer is Santa Claus!"

(Brock says.)

(Jynx is happy that she tries to kiss Brock, but Brock panics.)

Brock: "Okay! Okay! Stop! Wait! Quit it! Don't kiss me! Cut it out!"

(Jynx stops kissing him as Mew walks over and asks.)

Mew: "But Jynx, if your trainer is Santa, why are you here alone."

Jynx: "Jynx jynx Jynx Jynx Jynx Jynx Jynx Jynx Jynx Jyxn Jynx Jynx Jynx," (I was sitting on the ice polishing Santa's boot when the ice cracks and breaks into an ice float. The next thing I knew, I drifted far from the North Pole and ended up here.)

(Jynx explains.)

Mew: "That's terrible,"

(Mew says.)

Brock: "What Jynx said?"

(Brock asks.)

Mew: "Jynx was polishing Santa's boot when the ice cracked and broke into an ice float. And Jynx ended up being drifted out to sea and ended up here,"

(Mew explains.)

Tomo: "Poor Jynx,"

(Tomo sadly says.)

Brock: "How's Santa gonna deliver presents without this Jynx on his right hand and this boot on his left foot?"

(Brock asks.)

(Mew happily says.)

Mew: "Don't worry, Jynx! We'll take you and the boot back to Santa Claus at the North Pole!"

(Then Jynx hugs Mew and kisses her, surprisingly, Jynx hasn't given Mew the Lovely Kiss attack.)

(Meanwhile, Team Rocket is once again spying on Mew and her friends, and to Jessie, Jynx becomes her target.)

Jessie: "It's the twerps again! And it looks like Santa Claus is conning them, too!"

(Jessie angrily says.)

James: "It's so close to Christmas, they must be on their way to Santa's workshop,"

(James suspects.)

Jessie: "If we follow them…"

(Jessie says, thinking of the idea.)

(Then Meowth concludes.)

Meowth: "We'll find his hideout and grab a gazillion gifts!"

Jessie: "That'll teach Santa not to steal from me!"

(Jessie says, raising her arm up to the idea.)

(Soon, Mew and the others have an idea on how to get Jynx to the North Pole.)

(They build a raft and plan to sail to Santa's Workshop themselves.)

Misty: "We have to figure out a way to get to Santa's workshop,"

(Misty says.)

(Soon Mew has an idea.)

Mew: "I have an idea! We can use our Water Pokemon to get to the North Pole.

Misty: "Good idea. I should've thought of it,"

(Misty says.)

(Soon, everyone calls out their Pokemon, Squirtle, Krabby, Cloyster, Goldeen, Staryu, Starmie, Vaporeon, Magikarp, Psyduck, and Golduck.)

(Soon, they are tied to the raft and pulling it as they swim.)

Mew: "Alright! Next stop, Santa's workshop! North Pole!"

(Mew calls out.)

(Psyduck however, is the only one who isn't pulling.)

(In fact, Psyduck isn't a good swimmer.)

(Misty reassures Psyduck.)

Misty: "Don't worry, you can ride with us."

(As the Pokemon pull the raft, Team Rocket are following.)

(them from their Gyarados submarine and Jessie plans on getting some payback.)

(Back on the surface, the sun is shining bright down on them.)

(Brock looks around and notices.)

Brock: "Guys! I think we've been drifting off course!"

(Soon, everyone notices their Pokemon is getting tired.)

(Mew, Misty, and Tomo call out.)

Mew, Misty, and Tomo: "Come on, you guys! Full speed ahead!"

(Soon, the Pokemon regain their strength and pull the raft more.)

(Soon enough, all the Pokemon are tuckered out and don't have much energy.)

Misty: "The Pokemon are pooped,"

(Misty notices.)

(Soon enough, Mew ties herself to the raft worth the rope around waist.)

Mew: "I'll take over for a while! I ought to be able to paddle to the pole."

(Mew dives in the water and begins to paddle in the water.)

(Surprisingly, Mew is actually doing a very good job.)

(She is able to paddle for over an hour or so.)

(Sadly, Mew is starting to get tired as well.)

(Tired, Mew continues to swim and take deep breaths.)

Mew: "It's. Further. Than. I. Thought. Maybe. We. Ought to. Turn. Back."

(Suddenly, she hears a voice.)

???: "You're heading in the right direction."

(Mew becomes confused and looks around.)

Mew: "Did you say something?!"

Misty: "We didn't say anything! You'd better keep swimming or we'll never get there!"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "Guess I'm hearing things,"

(Mew says, shrugging it off.)

(Mew then begins to swim again, and is not planning on giving up until she helps Jynx get back home.)

(Suddenly, the voice appears again.)

???: "You've got a long way to go."

Mew: "There's that voice again!"

(Mew says, surprised.)

(Mew gasps to see that a giant wave is heading right towards them.)

(It splashes at them, sending the group away and Mew under the water.)

(Mew swims as she looks around for the source of the voice.)

(The voice then says.)

???: "Come with me."

(Mew wonders in her thoughts.)

Mew [in mind]: "Who said that?"

(Suddenly, a figure begins to glow in front of Mew, much to her surprise.)

(Soon, the light fades to reveal a Lapras.)

Mew [in mind]: "A Lapras? Can you, talk to me in telepathy?"

(Mew asks in her thoughts.)

Lapras: "Yes,"

(Lapras says.)

(Lapras swims to Mew and carries her back to the surface and in front of the raft.)

Misty: "It's Mew!"

(Misty says, surprised.)

Brock: "But what kind of Pokemon is that?"

(Brock asks.)

(Tomo brings out Mew's Pokedex and Dexter says.)

Dexter: "Lapras, the Transport Pokemon. A Water and Ice Type. This intellectually advanced Pokemon is able to understand human speech. With its mild temperament, Lapras prefers to carry humans on its back, rather than engage in Pokemon battles."

Lapras: "I have been watching you for some time now,"

(Lapras says.)

(Soon, Misty and the others become surprised.)

Misty: "What was that?"

(Misty asks.)

Brock: "It's Lapras' telepathy,"

(Brock says.)

(Lapras swims up to them, and asks.)

Lapras: "Santa Claus asked me to search for one of his Jynx. It's been missing for quite a while. That search has brought me here, to you."

Mew: "How come you didn't just introduce yourself when you first saw us?"

(Mew asks.)

Lapras: "I needed to be sure that your intentions were good,"

(Lapras answers.)

(And Mew says.)

Mew: "We're just trying to help."

Lapras: "Yes, I know. You used all your strength to help bring Jynx back to Santa. That was very kind of you,"

(Lapras says.)

Mew: "Thank you,"

(Mew says, blushing a little.)

Lapras: "Now, to thank you for what you've done, I'll be glad to bring you to Santa's workshop,"

(Lapras asks.)

Mew: "You will?"

(Mew asks, happily.)

(Misty and Tomo cheer.)

Misty and Tomo: "Yay!"

(Pikachu and Eevee are also happy.)

(Jynx then hugs Brock and tries to kiss him again.)

(Meanwhile, Team Rocket is still following them from the submarine and Jessie has a one track mind.)

Jessie: "Come on, speed it up! They're getting away!"

(Jessie says.)

(With that, James and Meowth help pedal faster.)

(Up on the surface, Lapras pulls the raft carrying Mew and her friends.)

(They travel through harsh rain as Jynx helps shield them with it's hair.)

Lapras: "It will start getting colder soon,"

(Lapras advised.)

Brock: "Then it's best to get the snow gears on,"

(Brock says.)

(Sure enough, the temperature drops as the gang approaches the North Pole that has large icebergs and land.)

(Mew and her friends are now wearing snow gear while Pikachu and Eevee hide in Jynx's hair.)

Mew: "This place must be really cold for us to see icebergs,"

(Mew says.)

(Then Lapras says.)

Lapras: "Don't worry, we're almost there."

(Soon, Mew and the others see a special iceberg with a beautiful ice structure on it.)

Lapras: "See? That's where Santa lives,"

(Lapras says.)

(Everyone is amazed and full of wonder as they approach the iceberg.)

(Suddenly, Team Rocket's submarine forcefully surfaces, much to the friends' surprise.)

Mew: "Something's wrong!"

(Mew exclaims.)

(Soon, Team Rocket rises from the sub and they look tired.)

Jessie: Prepare for trouble!

James: Make it double.

Jessie: To protect the world from devastation!

James: To unite all peoples within our nation.

Jessie: To denounce the evils of truth and love!

James: Extend. Reach Stars.

Jessie: Jessie!

James: James!

(The cold air comes in and Jessie and James hug each other for warmth.)

Jessie: Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light.

James: Surrender now, or prepare to.. Achoo!

Meowth: Meowth. That's right!

(Then Meowth panics.)

Meowth: "It's freezing out here!"

(Meowth quickly goes back in the sub and into the kotatsu.)

Meowth: "Now's a good time to go undercover."

(Still shivering James says.)

James: "Now that you've led us to his lair, let's have him!"

Mew: "Have who?"

(Mew says, confused.)

Jessie: "Have who? Have Santa Claus, that's who!"

(Jessie angrily says.)

Mew: "Santa?"

(Mew says, confused.)

Jessie: "That's him, right there!"

(Jessie angrily says, pointing to the Jynx.)

(Mew looks at Jynx and says.)

Mew: "Huh? What are you talking about? This isn't Santa Claus, this is Jynx. Besides, Jynx are only girls not boys."

(Jessie shouts in rage.)

Jessie: "You can't fool me! I know your little secret! Santa Claus is actually a Jynx!"

Mew: "You think Santa Claus is a Jynx?!"

(Mew asks, with a big grin on her face.)

(Soon everyone, even the Pokemon are laughing.)

(This makes Jessie furious.)

Jessie: "How dare you laugh at me! Let's show them!"

James: "You're on, Meowth!"

(James commands.)

Meowth: "It's showtime!"

(Meowth says and presses the button in the sub.)

(Soon a rocket is sent up in the air and dives towards Mew and the others.)

(Everyone screams and panic in fear of being hit that Team Rocket takes the advantage to swipe Jynx.)

(Then the rocket sends out a net and catches the group and Lapras.)

(Everyone panics from the net.)

Jessie: "Better not cry! Santa Claus is coming, with us!"

(Jessie says and maniacally laughs.)

(The submarine dives down and takes Jynx with them.)

Mew: "Come back! Give Jynx back!"

(Mew shouts.)

Tomo: "Let Jynx go!"

(Tomo shouts.)

(Soon, Team Rocket traveled to the ice structure where Santa's workshop is.)

(With Jynx as a hostage, they soon find themselves at the workshop and are surprised to see what's inside.)

(They see a lot of Jynx working with the toy machines, wrapping presents and other needs.)

Jessie: "Look! There are tons of Santas!"

(Jessie says with excitement.)

(She laughs and says.)

Jessie: "And tons of presents, too."

James: "This'll be the best Christmas ever!"

(James says, and claps his hands together.)

Meowth: "Only for us,"

(Meowth adds.)

(Soon enough, they spot the man who is the real Santa Claus loading the presents in the sacks.)

(James says, surprised.)

James: "Look."

Meowth: "It's the real Santa Claus,"

(Meowth adds.)

(Shocked Jessie says.)

Jessie: "It, can't be."

(Taking a good look at the man and the Jynx, Jessie says in her thoughts, realizing the truth.)

Jessie [in mind ]: "Maybe the Jynx that took my doll ten years ago, wasn't the real Santa Claus!"

(In the workshop Santa stretches a little and turns his head.)

Santa Claus: "I hope Lapras gets back in time."

Jynx: "Jynx," (I'm not sure.)

(The Jynx replies.)

Santa Claus: "If I have to deliver all these presents without my other boot and without my helper, I'm afraid my toes are gonna freeze,"

(Santa says.)

(Suddenly, Jessie says.)

Jessie: "Maybe this is what you're looking for!"

(Santa turns his head to see Team Rocket and Jessie is holding Santa' boot.)

Santa Claus: "Oh, thank you! Thank you so much for bringing back my boot!"

(Santa walks over with glee.)

(Then asks.)

Santa Claus: "By any chance, did you find a Jynx?"

Mew: "Look out, Santa!"

(Mew calls out.)

(Team Rocket turns their heads to see Mew and her friends making the scene.)

Mew: "Those three are on your naughty list!"

(Mew adds.)

Tomo: "Team Rocket bad!"

(Tomo adds.)

Santa Claus: "What's this?!"

(Santa asks, shocked.)

(Suddenly, James and Meowth tie Santa up.)

Jessie: "We've got a little surprise for you, Santa,"

(Jessie says.)

James: "You're going to be tied up this Christmas,"

(James says.)

Meowth: "That's KNOT too bad,"

(Meowth comments.)

(Mew and her friends are shocked to see what Team Rocket has done.)

(Jessie steps forward and says.)

Jessie: "Don't try to stop us, if you wanna have a happy New Year!"

James: "And all you Jynx better do exactly what we tell you to do, or Santa will be sorry!"

(James adds.)

(The Jynx feel they have no other choice, but to give in to them.)

Meowth: "Now, load up ALL the presents and we'll be on our Merry Christmas way,"

(Meowth says, and laughs.)

(Soon enough, Mew and her friends are tied up along with Santa.)

(as the Jynxs are forced to load up the presents in the submarine.)

Santa Claus: "Please, you can't do this terrible thing. You can't just take all these presents. You're going to disappoint all the children,"

(Santa begs.)

Mew: "Santa is right! You're gonna ruin Christmas for everybody in the whole world!"

(Mew says.)

Jessie: "Keep quiet! I'm making up for the presents that I never got!"

(Jessie angrily says.)

(Confused, Santa asks.)

Santa Claus: "Jessie, what do you mean 'the presents that you never got'?"

(Then Jessie says.)

Jessie: "Ho. Ho. You remember what every kid in the world wants for Christmas but you can't remember what you had your Jynx do to me ten years ago?"

Santa Claus: "What is it you think my Jynx did to you?"

(Santa asks.)

Jessie: "I know exactly what your Jynx did to me! It came down the chimney on Christmas Eve and stole my favorite doll from me!"

(Jessie angrily says.)

Santa Claus: "That's impossible!"

(Santa says.)

(Suddenly, Jynx then uses telepathy on Jessie and everyone else, showing how Jynx finds the broken doll and takes it away.)

(Young Jessie is left crying thinking Santa has stolen her doll.)

(Once Jynx is done, she then leaves the scene.)

(Making Jessie angry.)

Jessie: "Hey! Where do you think you're going?! You can't get away from me!"

Mew: "She seems to be going back to Santa's workshop to get something, but she'll be back,"

(Mew translates.)

(Soon, the Jynx returns and holds the toy doll that Jynx has taken from Jessie ten years ago.)

Jessie: "I can't believe it. That's, my dolly!"

(Jessie says, surprised.)

Santa Claus: "There. You see? I knew my Jynx would never steal anything,"

(Santa says.)

(Then Jessie questions.)

Jessie: "Well, if your Jynx didn't steal it, how come it had it stashed out there in the woods for ten years, Santa Claus?"

Santa Claus: "My Jynx was bringing you your presents that Christmas, saw your favorite doll was broken, and brought it back to me so I could fix it. I repaired it in my sleigh and we tried to go back, but you didn't believe in me anymore, and I'm powerless to go where hearts are closed,"

(Santa explains.)

(The Jynx then gives Jessie back her doll.)

Jessie: "You were only trying to help me after all. How could I have hurt my best friend in the whole world?! Forgive me,"

(Jessie says, feeling remorseful.)

James: "Aw. Jessie is sorry,"

(James says, and begins to laugh.)

Misty: "I guess bad guys can have their feelings hurt, too,"

(Misty replies.)

(Then Brock says.)

Brock: "Hey. Maybe Team Rocket has a heart after all."

Santa Claus: "Now that you know what happened, you can untie me and give back the presents,"

(Santa says.)

(Jessie laughs and says.)

Jessie: "I'm not that grateful!"

(Then Team Rocket hops in the submarine.)

Jessie: "See ya later!"

(Jessie calls out.)

(Soon, Team Rocket begins to ride away on their subs.)

(as Mew and her friends demand they return the presents.)

Mew: "You want so many things. Why don't you ask Santa Claus for them?"

(Mew remarks.)

(As Team Rocket laughs, a familiar voice says.)

???: "That isn't funny."

(Jessie soon asks.)

Jessie: "That voice. What was it?"

(Suddenly, Lapras resurfaces from the water.)

(Mew happily says.)

Mew: "Lapras!"

Lapras: "Christmas belongs to everyone. You cannot steal it!"

(Lapras says to Team Rocket.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Lapras, stop them! They've got all the presents!"

(Lapras performs Ice Beam on the Submarine.)

(and freezes Team Rocket in their tracks.)

(Cold, Jessie panics.)

Jessie: "Pedal. Faster! Pedal. Faster!"

James: "We, can't move!"

(James adds, freezing.)

Meowth: "Frozen stiff!"

(Meowth adds.)

(Out on the surface, Pikachu and Eevee are able to cut the ropes and break them with their teeth.)

Misty: "We're free,"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "Now to stop Team Rocket and get the presents back! Go Espurr!"

(Mew says, and throws her Pokeball.)

(Espurr makes an appearance.)

Mew: "Okay Espurr, use Psychic,"

(Mew says.)

(Then Santa commands the Jynx.)

Santa Claus: "Alright, everyone! Use your Psychic attack!"

(With the combined power of the Jynx, they are able to perform the attack Psychic.)

(Team Rocket tries to pedal.)

(Meowth notices.)

Meowth: "Hey! We're not moving!"

Jessie: "Well, just pedal faster!"

(Jessie shouts.)

James: "We're battling the waves!"

(James says.)

(The Jynx's and Espurr bring the submarine back.)

(Then shake the sub up and down until all the presents in the sacks have fallen out.)

Santa Claus: "I think it's time to Psywave goodbye now,"

(Santa says.)

Mew: "Okay Espurr, use Psybeam,"

(Mew says.)

(Espurr and all the Jynx perform their attacks.)

(sending Team Rocket flying once again.)

Team Rocket: "Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!"

(Team Rocket screams as they are blasted off.)

(Later in the night.)

(Santa has all the presents loaded in his slay that are being pulled by four Stantlers.)

Santa Claus: "I have a busy night ahead of me. Lapras, would you bring our friends safely back to where you found them, please?"

(Santa asks.)

Lapras: "Of course, Santa,"

(Lapras says.)

(Santa then cracks the reins and the sleigh begins to take off into the sky as he calls out.)

Santa Claus: "Merry Christmas to all."

(Soon, the snow begins to fall from the sky.)

Misty: "It's snowing!"

(Misty says.)

Brock: "Looks like we're gonna have a white Christmas,"

(Brock says.)

(Just then Lapras says.)

Lapras: "Before I take you back to the mainland, Santa has a few presents for you.

(Just then, Jynx comes over with a sack and opens it to reveal presents.)

Mew: "For us?"

(Mew asks.)

Lapras: "Merry Christmas,"

(Lapras says.)
